    Project Director

    Project Summary

    The FHI 360 Four Pillars PLUS in Nigeria aims to improve the quality and relevance of secondary education for girls and other vulnerable children (OVC) and boost retention rates in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. The project will offer scholarships, girts' mentoring, teacher training, and encourage community participation to address the complex barriers to education for girts and avcs. The PLUS component will focus on strengthening Adolescent Reproductive Health Education, addressing Early Pregnancy, Early Marriage and SRGBV. This is a 4 year project with funds provided annually. FHI360 is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Project Director

    The Project Director for the Four Pillars PLUS project in Nigeria leads a team of professional and support staff and is responsible for ensuring that the project attains tts goals and meets tts obligations in a timely fashion and within the project budget. S/He provides leadership and management to the Four Pillars PLUS activities, and serves as the primary source of contact regarding the project for all stakeholders.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards:

    • MSc/MA in Education, Social Science, Gender Studies, International Development, or other similar fields with a minimum of 9 years relevant experience with international development programs which includes 5 years relevant supervisory experience.
    • Proven record in designing, implementing and successfully delivering education projects in Nigeria
    • Strong skills in financial, program, and personnel management
    • Ability to work with diverse groups of high-level stakeholders from government, secondary education, donor, civil society, and private sector communities
    • Experience working with major donor organisations
    • Must be computer literate (MS Office Packagellnternet, etc.)
