Job description
The incumbent will be expected to load and unload Finished Goods and Raw Materials, stock materials in accordance with BASF regulations and maintain proper warehouse inventory.
Other duties include weigh out correct quantity of raw materials; ensure stock movements are carried out properly and matched in SAP; ensure correct marking on raw material containers; arrange loading and unloading of trucks, containers and tankers; ensure all raw materials and finished goods are stored and handled properly in warehouse; accurately account for stock; ensure quality control of delivery; assist in managing aging stock; operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs); assist to maintain standard of safety and housekeeping; assist with safety or environmental incidents as may happen in order to minimize any negative impact on the company.
Any other duties to fulfill role.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess relevant high school qualification with a pass in Mathematics and Science coupled with at least 2 years experience in a manufacturing company;
Experience in the chemical industry is required; a forklift driving licence is required.
Other skills required are
Basic computer literacy, planning and organizing skills, ability to perform well under pressure and work as member of a team. Excellent communication in English.
Meet BASF pre-employment medical assessment requirements. Be willing to work a shift system and overtime when company requirements deem it necessary.
