Draughtsman - Dimensional Controller at Jagal Group

Reporting to: Dimensional Control Lead/Dimensional Control Surveyors

Purpose/Role

• To create dimensional reports using AutoCAD  and MS Office software for issue to clients and fabricators

Prime Responsibilities and Duties

• To interpret digital surveys carried out with EDM and produce a report to relevant parties.
• To assist the Dimensional Surveyors by extracting information from design drawings to allow accurate setting out and checking of key / 3 dimensional points.

Reports

• Create dimensional reports to issue to fabricators to allow accurate fabrication to take place
• Create BW and AW dimensional reports for issue to client
• Key internal interfaces:
• Fabrication team (workforce)
• Fabrication (managers)
• QA/QC representatives

The Person

• 3yrs+ experience in AutoCAD software
• Ability to interpret and understand digital survey methods
• Ability to work under pressure and be accurate at all times
• Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Ability to understand scale/blocks/annotations within AutoCAD
