Job Purpose:
Lead and manage to a professional standard electronic security design consulting engagements. Support Associate Director to develop the practice, develop business, create intellectual property, achieve strategic objectives and train and mentor junior team members.
Drive and own client and company deliverables, ensuring the highest quality is sustained and the client and company budgets and programmes are met. Develop and build new and existing client relationships, facilitating where appropriate the introduction and provision of additional Control Risks services.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Consulting
- Consultant will be expected to undertake complex technical security reviews, audits and other similar tasks, working at client sites and in the office, at corporate headquarters and site level
- Design of electronic security systems to an appropriate level, working in conjunction with specialist design engineers
Task Management
- Project manage tasks taking full ownership of expenses, time management/utilisation, subcontractors, and quality
- Service multiple consultancy assignments consisting of complex tasks
- Act as lead on assignments when a more junior team member is engaged
- Lead and participate in client meetings
- Ensure that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client best interest
- Maintain and develop long-term client relationships; act in conjunction with key account managers
- Maintain time and expense records to ensure accurate invoicing within a maximum of seven days from task completion
Task Delivery
- Delivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget, to the highest standards
- The role will involve significant travel to client sites and Control Risks offices
- From time-to-time the role may require consultants to deploy to the field for extended periods as dictated by circumstances
Business development
- Business development is everyone’s responsibility. Senior consultants are expected to lead business development in conjunction with sales team resources and the Associate Director
- Pro-actively seek opportunities to develop projects and business
- Deliver marketing and profile raising events
- Lead client meetings
- Develop longer-term client relationships
Team/Practice Development
- Develop and mentor junior staff, maximising utilisation of resources
- Provide expert knowledge of security consulting and all existing service lines
