    Regional Sales Director

    Job Description

    • Successful candidates will be fully responsible for all the sales activities within the assigned region.
    • This role is responsible for defining the marketing strategy and leading the execution of marketing campaigns throughout the company.
    • The Regional Sales Director of marketing is responsible for the work of the marketing communications team to implement marketing activities on time and within budget.
    • This person will also develop strategic and long-term relationship with key stakeholders.

    Responsible
    The candidate, in his/her respective region would be responsible for:

    • Directing the overall sales activity in the region.
    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, increasing the market share of the company's products and providing directions and information on the product and related service.
    • Advising the company on the market strategy, building the brand and achieving the defined goals.
    • Tracking the business goals across the organisation and developing a strategic market plan consistent with the company's goals.
    • Analysing the sales records and trends in relations to our objectives and with reference to competitor's activities.
    • Developing a business plan for his/her area of responsibility that is consistent with the short-range and long-range company objectives, forcasting projections on a monthly basis.
    • Maintaining excellent customer relationship and providing superb customer service.
    • Building a strong and successful sales force in his/her region.

    Requirements
    Person Specification:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
    • Master's Degree with specialization in Marketing/Sales.
    • Minimum of 25 years of related experience with at least 15 years specific experience in Direct Sales/Marketing.
    • Strong understanding of current Sales and Marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
    • Experience in managing a Sales/Marketing team in a fast paced environment.
    • Strong marketing and communications acumen with high proficiency in branding, message development and marketing campaign strategy.
    • Proven efficacy in designing, delivering and measures marketing campaigns.
    • Strong public speaking and collaboration abilities to work with diverse groups of people at various levels and drive awareness, consensus, and partnership for the success of projects and campaigns.

    • Strong organising and time management skills.
    • Good interpersonal relationship skills and communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
    • In-depth understanding of the trends, challenges opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • in-depth knowledge and understanding of the macro and micro environmental trends and their impact on the organisation.
    • Excellent knowledge of the products and service offerings of Dangote Cement Plc.
    • Excellent leadership, problem solving decison-making and people management skills.
    • Very good negotiation and relationship management skills.
    • Demonstrated sales ability and technical aptitude.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Must be "total" team player and look at the constant "big" picture for success.
    • Previous experience working in a manufacturing industry.
