    Project Engineer - Managed Pressure Drilling

    Job Opening Id: 46616
    Location: Port Harcourt

    Job Purpose

    •     Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.
    •     Project Engineer is responsible and accountable for the highest service quality delivery to the clients/projects assigned to him.
    •     Provide engineering before, during and after projects
    •     Mentor Field Engineers, train field personnel as well as client and third party on location if necessary.
    •     Provide technical support to Sales and Business Development

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    •     Off side technical focal point for ongoing project assigned
    •     Responsible for pre-evaluation, job design, simulations and analysis
    •     Be involved early in the Secure Drilling business process, conducting rig surveys, generating Process & Instrumentation Diagrams [P&ID], and creating a Master Equipment List [MEL] that meets Customer requirements.
    •     Coordinate HAZID & HAZOP meetings with client in order to finalize, and obtain client sign off for P&ID, finalize the MEL, and generate detailed Operations Plan.
    •     Work with Materials on the procurement of any additional items required for the package.
    •     Maintains close contacts with clients and ensures awareness of client activity,
    •     Be responsible for ensuring client requests are fulfilled in timely & efficient manner by conforming to both Weatherford standards & client specifications
    •     Plans adequately the equipment & personnel requirement for upcoming jobs
    •     Liaise with Maintenance team in order to ensure equipment readiness
    •     Develops effective client relationship.
    •     Job is project basis and requires good communication with client office and well-site regularly.
    •     Throughout the operation the MPD Project Engineer will attend shore based morning calls and assist in providing onshore support to both the client and Weatherford field team.
    •     Upon completion of the project, the MPD Project Engineer will coordinate Post Job De-Brief and approve detailed End of Well Report.
    •     Training field personnel on project requirements and goals.
    •     Attending pre spud meetings
    •     Provide/modify job specific procedures and make sure those are followed
    •     Remote monitoring well
    •     Making sure achieving planned objectives with safe job practices
    •     Running critical on site operations when expertise required
    •     Reviewing EOWR
    •     Asses competency of field personnel
    •     Ensure Company policy are well understood, accepted & followed by personnel under his supervision,

    Required Skills/Knowledge:

    •     Excellent communication skills.
    •     Good understanding of drilling and well completion operations.
    •     Good understanding of geology and geology related issues
    •     Knowledge of well control
    •     Proven ability of teamwork and leadership
    •     Problem solving ability
    •     Good understanding of Risk Assessment and Mitigation process
    •     Must have a clear customer focus
    •     Strong computer software skills.

    Qualification Required

    •     Bachelor degree in Engineering or relevant Oil & Gas experience

    Required Working Experience

    •     Technical Competency with product line Operations and Equipment
    •     Must possess a Working Knowledge and Hands-On Experience in Drilling and Completion Operations.
    •     Field Operations Experience of Drilling and Completing Wells.
    •     Experience of competency and training processes and systems.
    •     Requires extensive travel both domestically and internationally and extended stays away from home.
    •     Previous oil field experience
