Engineering Services Manager - Manufacturing at HAYS

Job description
Our client is a leading soft drinks/beverages company with extensive manufacturing operations across Africa. In Nigeria there largest operation where they currently operate (9) manufacturing plants, they have a requirement for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Services Manager. Reporting to the Plant Manager of there largest plant in the Group in Lagos the role will be implement the continuous improvement, reliability and maintenance strategy, introducing engineering processes and systems. Participation in the major capital projects and programs including new lines or new launch products, TPM, state of the art automation and generally improving plant performance.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all plant technical purchases
• Assist Factory Manager on Manufacturing projects
• Liaise on all technical matters with line managers and site engineering teams
• Provide guidance in resolving day-to-day maintenance problems with site maintenance managers
• Control and maintenance budget
• Develop and train Engineering team

Key Objectives

• Increase assets utilization +10%
• Reduce all technical and assets downtime
• Extend TPM, introducing and predictive maintenance
• Team development, improve team capability
• Look for new suppliers & distributors to reduce costs or improve delivery

Qualifications

• You will ideally have an Engineering degree with a professional; qualification MBA, with at least (3) years as a multi site engineering manager and (5) years as a engineering manager.
