    Maintenance Administrator

    Job location and working hours:  The position is located at Alagbado Lagos, Nigeria. Working time is normally between 7:30am-5pm Mondays to Fridays.  8:30am -3pm on Saturdays

    Job Details

    The Maintenance Administrator provides a professional maintenance liaison and coordination service and also incorporates administrative skills to assist other staff members when and where required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Respond to trouble calls by creating a work order and contacting the Maintenance Coordinator to dispatch appropriate personnel.
    • Works with the responsible technician to ensure that all relevant information has been completed, i.e., the time the call came in; who reported the issue; what the reported issue was; the resolution of the call; call completion time; parts used; etc.
    • Responsible for creating/issuing work orders to maintenance personnel, along with Production personnel, for autonomous maintenance purposes.
    • Responsible for updating maintenance records going back to the archives.
    • Assist with the creation/maintenance of Job Breakdown sheets for maintenance tasks.
    • Order maintenance supplies and equipment as needed and perform checks on a weekly and monthly basis.
    • Assist with supervisor of work undertaken ensuring quality and standard.
    • Preparation and filing of all documentation and paperwork in accordance with company standards and policy.
    • Provide support to the Maintenance Coordinator as and when required.
    • Helps with relevant paperwork and team/project supervision as work demands.

    Desired Candidate Profile   

    • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
    • Sound knowledge of parts and equipment used on plant machinery
    • Adequate level of computer literacy.
    • Proven problem solving skills must be minimum average.
    • Teamwork skills/mindset and high integrity.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Be willing to work long and irregular hours.

    Key Competencies and Skills required

    • Must have knowledge of parts and equipment used on production machines
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on a timely basis.
    • Skilled in Microsoft packages including Work, Excel and Outlook.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and relay information accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
    • Ability to develop and exercise initiative.
    • Ability to read and interpret plans, construction and contract documentation.
    • Conflict resolution ability.
