Maintenance/Repair Manager at The Space

Job Description

• We are looking to recruit a qualified and reliable repair manager who has proven experience in a maintenance and repair role.
• You will be responsible for maintaining the building, machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures.

Duties

• Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
• Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
• Maintain all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.
• Create and implement maintenance procedures and schedules
• Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
• Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.
• Daily check ins on the facility and machines
• Ensure workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
• Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
• Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
• Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
• Respond to emergency calls for maintenance
• Manage the set up and take down of different events
• Solve minor repair electrical and plumbing issues
• Communicate plans for upper level improvements to maintenance worker staff
• Contact and schedule repairmen and/or extra help as needed
• Perform other tasks as required

Requirements

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of occupational safety
• Knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing systems to be maintained
• Ability to lift heavy loads
• Physical agility
• Manual dexterity
• Repair and maintenance experience
