    Construction Manager

    Description

    • The Construction Manager is responsible to manage the execution of the works within the project site in accordance with the schedules and contractual requirements, ensuring technical compliance and effective coordination of the respective staff within the project team.

    Job Description

    • Managing all site operations
    • Accountable for meeting and improving on all resource allowables.
    • Manage all direct resources and ensure production and quality targets are achieved.
    • Produce a two-week site look ahead and report to management.
    • Producing and ensuring compliance with work method statements and safety method statements.
    • Coordinating activities of all sub-contractors and suppliers.
    • Coordinating all material deliveries.
    • Managing all on-site plant and equipment.
    • Ensuring safe access to work, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
    • Keeping daily site records.
    • Contract administration, variations etc. to sub-contractors.
    • Checking the quality of all sub-contractor work prior to sign off and payment.
    • Responsible for providing feedback on construction processes, checklists, and FLOD items.
    • Oversee snagging close out with all clients and client representatives.
    • Ensures adherence to SHEQ policies and procedures.
    • Quality Control of all activities on site.

    Preferred Experience and Education

    • B.Sc in Construction Management, Engineering or related area
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential project/construction management is required
    • Must have worked as a Construction Manager on large scale projects in Nigeria.
