Job Summary

The role holder will be responsible for the following:

• Develop work method and training for analytical requirements
• Perform routine sampling and analysis of Hydrocarbon fluids, produced water and gas sample for Oil and Gas Facilities
• Handling of the extended Gas Analyzer
• Monitor export and import gas quality such as CO2, H2S, Ethyl Mercaptan, Copper corrosion, Gas composition, moisture content, etc.
• Manage the chemical injection facilities for produced water re-injection and other chemical injection skids
• Perform all extra sampling and analysis on the installation, as well as other analytical tasks that may be considered necessary
• Oversee the operations of the Production Chemistry Laboratory

Education and Work Experience

• BSC/HND in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related area
• Minimum of 4 years demonstrable oil & gas production chemistry experience including Oil, natural gas and produced water sampling/analysis
•  Must have NYSC discharge certificate

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of gas sampling and analysis.
• Proficient in Gas Chromatography and Gas Analyzer application and troubleshooting
• Ability to troubleshoot and recommend improvement processes for fluid sampling and analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management skills – must be able to deliver within tight deadlines
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to pay attention to details
• Good team spirit
• General proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
