Description

• Support the implementation and management of enterprise metadata repository (technical and semantic) and related artefacts
• Support the implementation of metadata strategies relevant to the entire data management lifecycle and data strategies established
• Support the  development, maintenance & socialization of standards, principles, policies and guidelines for enterprise metadata (technical and semantic) across business areas and systems
• Liaise with business systems owners to collect, manage and maintain all business systems data dictionaries & related glossaries with which an integrated metadata repository will be generated
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation and compliance to metadata management principles, standards and guidelines across business areas
• Support the development of methods for monitoring and reporting on metadata usage and impact assessment of metadata initiatives on data usage across business units
• Serve as subject matter expert on metadata standards, principles and guidelines across any enterprise process that impacts metadata
• Support the organization and delivery of effective metadata management messaging through info sessions relevant to the effective enterprise wide rollout and maintenance of initiatives that impact metadata management capability maturity
• Ensure that all metadata operations are aligned to the enterprise data strategy, data initiatives are synchronized where possible
• Collaborates closely with other teams within the CDO office to ensure consistency and a  synchronized approach to all data related issues
• Manage all documents related to metadata requirements management
• Support other metadata management project initiatives as a project resource as appropriate
• Other related duties as may be assigned

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Other relevant Science disciplines

Experience and Associated skillset:

• 0 to 3 years working experience preferably in data management related roles
• Experience with business systems
• Exposure to data quality management principles
• Analytical, logical thinking and problem solving skills
• Some exposure to project management principles and practices is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong conflict management skills
• Strong attention to details and good time-management skillsV
