ABOUT THE JOB

ICT Consultant

The ICT consultant will manage Skills Outside School Foundation’s ICT function including but not limited to procurement and management of the ICT systems in relation to registration and education of use. The ICT consultant will also be responsible for quality and process improvement initiatives whilst providing general ICT technical support functions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulating and leading in the implementation of ICT strategy in line with policies, processes and procedures to deliver organisational objectives
• Ensure that all ICT operating systems and applications are secure and fit for purpose, continually reviewed and enhanced for SOSF business
• Implement and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain the organization's database management system.
• Installation of ICT infrastructure.
• Managing physical and e-access rights to the organisation’s IT platforms.
• Recommending new ICT platforms to improve organizational performance.
• Recommending ICT tools for efficient program management and HR functions
• Continually update and Administer anti-virus, firewalls and VPN infrastructure to ensure that all systems are secure and comply with Data Protection requirements.
• Managing technical operations processes.
• Training and on-boarding personnel on ICT infrastructure.
• Identifying, implementing and benchmarking best practices.
• Ensure that all ICT expenses meet SOSF procurement standards
• Respond to routine queries and complaints
• Shall execute all necessary roles that are incidental to those mentioned.

PREFERRED - SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project/Program Management or equivalent work experience
• Strong working knowledge of physical IT infrastructures (e.g. Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of CE infrastructures (e.g. UPS, Generator, AHU, etc.)
• Process and quality management experience
• Experience of managing security of sensitive and personal information with knowledge of data protection regulations.
• Backup, Disaster recovery and preventive maintenance experience
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours, non-business hours, or other scenarios required by the flow of operations
• Minimum of 3 Years’ work experience in similar role
