Management Accountant at Lantern Books

Job Description

• Manage financial systems and budgets
• Undertake financial audits (an independent check of an organization’s financial position)
• Provide financial advice
• Review the company's systems and analyze risk
• Perform tests to check financial information and systems
• Maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management information
• Responsible for day to day accounts operations
• Counsel clients on areas of business improvement, or dealing with insolvency
• Manage junior colleagues
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise
• Produce reports and recommendations
• Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts
• Arrange financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting
• Advise on tax and treasury issues
• Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting
• 3 years’ of post qualification Accounting experience
• ICAN certification is a must
• A high level of commitment and self-motivation
• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience in using accounting software
• Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness
