Hotel Accountant at Temp A Staff

A  hotel in surulere is looking for a Hotel accountant to resume immediately and be part of their team. The Hotel Accountant will ensure the accurate and timely input for all reporting processes in the hotel and provide support for the General Manager and the finance team. You will be a key player in the Finance Department and you will have a proven track record in a similar role. You will be well versed in accounts payable and receivable, income audit and general cashier. 

Requirements

Must have experience using hotel property software such as Opera and Sage, etc.
Applicants must have adequate hospitality industry experience.

Main Responsibilities

• Month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Forecasting and Budget preparation and reporting
• Calculating Service Charge
• Preparation and lodgment of P&L
• Yearend audit
• Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Management of Finance team
• Analyze daily banking transactions and journal entries
• Reconcile sub-ledger accounts (such as inventory).
• Payroll reconciliation
• Prepare monthly sales reports into excel spreadsheet for analysis
• Verify and reconcile contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
• Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
