Facility Supervisor needed at an educational institution.

 OVERVIEW

Our Client is an educational institution looking to hire a facility supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the facilities at the institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facility Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaners, plumbers, and electricians
• Handling repairs and monitoring the performance of the generator
• Ensuring that plumbing, HVAC and electrical facilities are well-maintained
• Advising the team on methods to increase energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Handling certain administrative tasks, such as preparing reports for the operations manager
• Responding to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility
• Ensuring that the facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols 

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum OND in M&E Engineering
• Proven experience as a facilities manager or other relevant position
• Knowledge of Cummins generator system
• Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
• Able to handle a complex and varied workload
