    Business Development Associate

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
    Business Development Associate will report to Country Manager for Nigeria and will be responsible for program implementation and expansion in the region.

    The Business Development Associate will be
    responsible for:

    • Recruiting, training, mobilizing and ongoing mentoring of local entrepreneurs
    • Planning and implementation for achieving sales targets
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local partners and community leaders
    • Keeping up to date sales records with Sales Management Software
    • Assuming responsibility for ordering, safe keeping and distribution of stock to Entrepreneurs
    • Working in tandem with the entire team and maintaining a flexible attitude supporting all stated objectives.
    • Establishing and maintaining high levels of customer service (internal and external)
    • Performing in a manner consistent with company Vision, Mission Statement and Operating Principles

    What we are looking For:

    • Community leadership/ sales experience a big plus
    • Strong business acumen and commitment to results
    • Attention to detail
    • Willingness to travel around for active community engagement

    Qualifications

    • Superior organizational skills and time management
    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
    • Team-oriented and flexible
    • Post secondary degree in a business management or a related field
    • Demonstrated experience working with small business
    • Demonstrated facilitation and coaching experience
    • Community leadership / sale experience a plus
    • Willingness to travel to remote areas for community engagement
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Fluency in English and at least one local language
    • Strong IT and social media skills
    • Strong recordkeeping skills, attention to detail
    • Self-starter and highly motivated
    • Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback
    • Effective deadline management skills
    • Strong customer service orientation

    Compensation
