Job Description

• We are seeking to hire an experienced Lifeguard to watch over students during swimming activities.
• The Lifeguard is responsible for the correct and hygienic maintenance of the pool’s water quality and In the case of an accident or emergency, the Lifeguard is expected to rescue the swimmer and apply first aid as necessary.
• The lifeguard is also responsible for the enforcement of safety rules in and around the pool.

Duties

• Supervising swimmers
• Spotting hazards and preventing accidents
• Giving advice on water safety
• Controlling unruly behaviour
• Water rescue
• First aid including CPR

Qualifications

• Possess professional certification for the appropriate teaching level;
• Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum, instruction, staff development, and assessment process; and
• Possess the ability to relate well with students, colleagues, parents, and staff.
