Volunteer Data Analyst at SHIFT Nigeria

Job Description

• The data analyst volunteer will support the SHIFT Digital team in areas of data collection, evaluation, research, narrative reports and recommendations

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in Collecting, interpreting, and summarizing data in preparation for analysis.
• Maintains appropriate records of data.
• Identify requirements and provide specialized reports and analysis.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues using appropriate analysis techniques.
• Assist in Data validation and verification.
• Build and maintain relationships with key contacts.

Job Requirements

• Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintain, and analyze data.
• Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
• Records maintenance skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
• Ability to prepare research reports and proposals.
• Ability to utilize statistical computer software.
• Proven ability to work well within a team environment without the need for close supervision.
• Proven ability to work well within a team environment without the need for close supervision.

Skills:

• A numeric background with knowledge of analytical techniques.
• Records maintenance skills.
• A high level of creativity, drive, innovation and initiative – a self-starter.
• Experience in using analytical and reporting tools including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with SAS,SPSS or any other tools (Added advantage).
