Job Description

• Our client is currently in search of a Purchasing Manager for their operations in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• The purchasing manager will be responsible for overseeing all purchases of raw materials in line with laid down company policies.
• Follow through in the implementation of the purchasing policy and identify reliable local and foreign vendors/suppliers.
• Purchase the right material at the most cost effective way.
• Handle quality control and material planning to prevent any down time based on material shortage.
• Maintain accurate data and information regarding purchases.
• The purchasing manager will also be responsible for developing sourcing strategies for different kinds of raw materials to meet up with set objectives of the organisation.
• Monitors and co-ordinate with suppliers and the relevant agencies on orders till they are received into stock.

Requirements/Qualifications

• B.Sc./HND in a relevant course.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in purchasing and procurement.
• Experience as a purchasing/procurement manager in a manufacturing (FMCG) establishment would be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of exportation of goods.
• Knowledge of processing NXP
• Supply chain background.
• Knowledge of Purchase Indenting.
• Professional Certification as a purchasing and supply chain professional.
