KONGA CREATIVES At Konga.com, our creative designers and strategists work in a fast paced environment and are faced with an eclectic range of challenging design briefs, with creative outcomes expected within strict timelines. As we help to oil the gears of commerce in Africa we are on the lookout for creative minds with indepth design skills which include but not limited to, illustrations, creative graphic designs, animations, UI/UX, html, php and visual composition. Our participatory and mentorship approach will help you develop research, analysis, evaluation skills and self-criticism skills.
DESIGN CHALLENGE We call on you to participate in our design challenge and in return you would be given the opportunity of joining the best design team in Nigeria gaining valuable exposure to visual communication, advertising and other commercial creative arts. DESIGN BRIEF It’s the beginning of the year and we are looking to start a campaign on Clearance Sales on the Fashion, Electronics and Mobile phones categories offering our customers a whopping ‘up to 70% discount’ on all items purchased. Konga.com is known for its affordable retail merchandise and this is the first big shopping event in Nigeria. This campaign will be promoted digitally (online) using click ads (web banner ads), on-site banners and outdoor advertising. REQUIREMENTS You are required to come up with clearance sale designs showcasing Fashion, Electronics and Phones categories for the 4 channels listed below:
Guidelines
ASSESSMENT All designers are required to submit their design entries and a copy of their portfolio/url or 3 of their best designs, so as to give an overview on their abilities, strengths and scope of design. This must be sent to creative@konga.com The design will be evaluated on the designer’s understanding of color theory, typography, element arrangement and usability goals. Designers are to ensure submission on or before Sunday 25th of January 2015. All entries received after this will be disqualified. Designs must be exported in jpg format and sent in a zip file. All designers should be proficient in the use of the adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver & Illustrator); knowledge of the Corel Draw suite is an added advantage. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
