    Senior Tax Consultant

    Responsibilities

    • The Senior Tax Consultant will contribute in cross-functional internal and client teams to develop and deliver strategic tax engagements in client environments across several sectors.

    He/she will:

    • Build competencies across several tax consulting services
    • Help advise clients on strategic tax-related matters and play a role in designing solutions that can help address complex tax related issues, achieve sustainable results and demonstrate real impact
    • Work with team members on tax engagements, taking ownership of areas of the project with limited supervision from senior team members.
    • Whilst working in the tax team the individual will develop his/her knowledge of the key themes in the market and across relevant sectors. You will work collaboratively with tax experts to shape the future of our clients and to bring about positive change.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Finance or Business discipline, supported by minimum of 3 years’ work experience in data analysis, capture, transformation, and understanding business processes
    • CITN, ACA, ACTI certification (or equivalent) required
    • Possess a minimum of 3 years working on tax issues within a tax consulting environment
    • Strong interest and passion for tax consulting and aiding clients solve complex tax challenges in public and private sector organisations.
    • Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise work load whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management.
    • The flexibility to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

    Senior Training Consultant


    The Role

    • The Senior Training Consultant should have a significant work experience as a trainer, training facilitator, or organizing multiple training events, preferably in a corporate environment

    Responsibilities

    • Develops, implements and evaluates complex training plans and programs for Employees and Ascension Consulting clients.
    • Develops comprehensive training materials, manuals, procedures and/or visual aids to meet objectives of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Develops and conducts training needs assessments and determines training requirements for new program development.
    • Conducts training and ongoing training evaluations to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommends comprehensive training modifications including process improvements.
    • Provides actionable feedback to Management from training engagements and supports marketing of the firm’s training plans with individuals or groups identified.
    • Serves as a trusted training subject matter expert and ensures training materials, procedures, plans and/or programs reflect business needs and specifications of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Directs, conducts and/or participates in all training projects as will be assigned.
    • Proactively collaborates and communicates with internal/external stakeholders to address training gaps to support organizational performance.
    • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
    • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on all assigned projects.
    • Develops and manages necessary relationships with key vendors and consulting resources to be leveraged as part of the comprehensive training curriculum.

    Relevant Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree/equivalent.
    • Age limit: Must not be older than 35 years of age by 31st December 2019

    Desirable Skills:

    • Knowledgeable about both traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
    • CIPM Certification required.
    • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency
    • Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Strong analytical skills to analyze the different aspects carefully.
    • Good customer service and interpersonal skills.

    Job Description
    He/she will:

    • Be part of the team advising and managing transfer pricing services for our clientele of large corporate multinational companies
    • Ability in analysing various industries, companies and processes to determine where value is created and how business activities are remunerated. Your work will help our clients to determine their intercompany transfer-pricing policies and to prepare related reporting to the tax authorities. Typical responsibilities of the role include:
    • Conduct regular economic analyses pursuant to the preparation of transfer pricing reports, including responsibility for data-gathering;
    • Prepare relevant transfer pricing reports and benchmarking analysis;
    • Analysing business value chains to establish the most appropriate transfer pricing policy;
    • Have the opportunity to learn about different business models, including long term strategies, in diverse industries;
    • Attend client meetings together with more experienced colleagues.

    Requirements
