Medical Records /HMO Officer at a Fast Growing Firm

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• To organize and maintain health information both in paper files and in electronic systems.
• To check data for accuracy, ensure proper billing for insurance reimbursement,
• To record information and keep file folders and electronic databases up-to-date.
• To manage patient information, medical histories, physician exams, test results, treatments and services provided.
• To ensure patient care conforms with individual HMO/NHIS requirements/policies
• To obtain all necessary HMO codesas at when due
• Ensure completion of all documentation for HMOs and the timely submission of bills
• To act as relationship officer with HMOs/NHIS
• To follow best practices for security and patient confidentiality.
• Other clerical duties as assigned by the manager

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of National Diploma in Heath information Management with at least 2 years of working experience. Working knowledge of Quickbooks and ERP will be and added advantage.
• Applicant must possess the following skills: Computer literacy, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Quality Focus, Professionalism, Productivity, Deadline-Oriented, Skillful Communicator, Reporting Skills
