Job Responsibilities

Position Description

• Handles the panel operation of the unit or part of the unit (along with other panel operators)

Job Responsibilities

• Panel officer of utility unit shall be responsible for startup/shut down and smooth running of utility units as per position title, Should be well conversant with refinery utility facility
• Maintains all operating parameters in line with instructions of Shift Supervisor
• Instructs field operators on the field adjustments to be made from time to time for maintaining the plant parameters and reports to Shift in Charge
• Coordinates with Instrument technicians to attend to the instruments / controllers/ transmitters/ control valves etc., and maintain the control systems
• Maintains a record of bypass of safety interlocks and ensures approvals are available from competent authority for the same.

Desired Qualification/Preferred Competencies

• Minimum 8+ years experience in refinery utility operations, 3 years panel operations in the area of responsibility.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of performance of the Area; single point of accountability.

• Monitor and Control the process lines & equipment’s from field as desired and handing over to the incoming shift in a systematic and orderly manner.
• Understand, follow and perform work permit systems.
• Operation and Monitor the performance of process equipment in safe manner and ensure the availability of spare equipment.
• Communicate with control room /Shift Field Engineer immediately in case of any parameters abnormalities noticed or process deviation noticed to ensure that accurate condition of field equipment is maintained.
• Record and maintain accurate, timely log data of equipment’s and closely monitor their performance
• Inform Shift Field Engineer to raise Maintenance work orders.
• Prepare and hand over equipment in a safe manner for maintenance and get back in service after checks as per PTW procedure.
