    Logistics Officer

    Job Description

    • DevTech is seeking a local Logistics Officer to support the Director of Operations in the management of country office operations activities, for the Support for Strategic Information and Project Management Services (S4SIPMS).
    • The Logistics Officer will be responsible for day-to-day logistics of the program. This will include all start-up and ongoing logistic task associated with data collection, organizing meetings for key staff, managing the logistics before, during and after completion. This will be a full-time position with benefits, based in Abuja, Nigeria. Only Nigerian applicants will be considered.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the logistics of the project office.
    • Oversee management, and control of logistics for M&E related work.
    • Assist with scheduling needs, logistics, and branding requirements for meetings, trainings and other events.
    • As required by the Director of Operations in the area of logistic support assist in vendor source selection, subcontracts and purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery and in accordance with DevTech and USAID policies and procedures.
    • Prepare draft trip reports related to technical activities where logistical support was provided.
    • Solicit input from the field-based monitoring coordinator and technical teams, assist with logistical arrangements and transportation needs related to monitoring and evaluation activities.
    • Support the development and implementation of security policies, systems and processes.
    • Provide program and administrative support duties as directed by the COP, Program Manager, and Director of Operations.
    • Oversee security firm and provide security updates and discussions with team as needed.
    • Oversee car drivers and coordinate travel with regional teams.

    Qualifications

    • Four year Degree in Operations, Business Administration or related field.
    • 5 years of experience working on multi-million dollar USG/USAID contracts, including experience in supporting logistics, procurement, operations, administration.
    • S/he will have demonstrated progressive experience working in the field of operations with knowledge of USAID requirements
    • Fluency in spoken and written English.

    Finance Manager

    Job Description

    • DevTech is seeking a local Finance Manager to support the Director of Operations in the management of country office finance and operation activities, for the Support for Strategic Information and Project Management Services (S4SIPMS).
    • The Manager will be responsible for monitoring country office expenditures and ensuring compliance with USAID and DevTech procedures. This will be a full-time position with benefits, based in Abuja, Nigeria. Only Nigerian applicants will be considered.

    Responsibilities

    • Implementing administrative processes, applying the rules, regulations and procedures of DevTech and USAID.
    • Provide oversight and supervision to regional logistics and administrative staff to ensure smooth functioning of the office, including office running and maintenance.
    • Manage the procurement process, and ensure necessary documentation of procurement processes for goods and services.
    • Ensure that assets and inventories are reconciled and updated in all field offices.
    • Preparing necessary documentation, reviewing and performing calculations in compliance with DevTech and USAID policies.
    • Travelling to regional offices to support and train regional staff and ensure compliance in logistics, procurement, and supporting documents for expenditures.
    • Ensuring timely approval and payment procedures.
    • Oversee the petty cash disbursement and ensure proper reconciliation and replenishment.
    • Support travel arrangements, including collecting and processing travel advances and expenses.
    • Support Director of Operations in budget, accounting and finance activities
    • Support Director of Operations to compile and prepare the monthly expenditure report.
    • Support Director of Operations to ensure quarterly accruals reporting and other financial reports to donor are prepared and submitted on time.
    • Support Human Resources duties, such as trainings to regional staff on travel expense reporting.
    • Coordinate with Director of Operations and Headquarters Controller.

    Qualifications

    • Master's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
    • 5 years of experience managing multi-million dollar USG/USAID contracts, including experience in supporting finance, procurement, operations, administration, logistics and human resource tasks.
    • Knowledge of financial software applications, including Quickbooks and others.
    • S/he will have demonstrated progressive experience working in the field of finance and compliance with knowledge of USAID requirements.
    • Fluency in spoken and written English.

    Finance and Administrative Officer

    • DevTech is seeking a Finance & Administrative Officer to support the Finance Manager and the Director of Operations in the management of regional office finance and operation activities, for the Support for Strategic Information and Project Management Services (S4SIPMS).
    • The officer will be responsible for monitoring regional offices expenditures and ensuring compliance with USAID and DevTech procedures. This will be a full-time position with benefits, based in either: Abuja, Lagos, Kano, or Port Harcourt. Only Nigerian applicants will be considered.

    Responsibilities

    • Implementing administrative processes, applying the rules, regulations and procedures of DevTech and USAID.
    • Preparing necessary documentation, reviewing and performing calculations in order to comply with each of these processes to achieve timely results and ensure effective service delivery
    • Accompanying technical teams to the field to ensure logistics and supporting documents for expenditures.
    • Ensuring timely approval and payment procedures
    • Preparation of field office financial and other administrative reports
    • Pro-actively ensuring that the office functions well and efficiently ensure office equipment and supplies maintained within budget.
    • Acting as the first point of contact for vendors and arranging meetings with vendors.
    • Acting as point of contact for office maintenance and security.
    • Ensuring office procedures are kept up-to-date and communicated to staff.
    • Organizing staff events, including off-site planning, and staff development events.
    • Assisting with staff transportation, accommodation and other travel related tasks.
    • Providing regular updates of all planning processes and practices for project activities.
    • Oversee the operations of the regional office;
    • Responsible for petty cash disbursement and ensure proper reconciliation and replenishment in the regional office.
    • Negotiate competitive prices and manage relationships with project vendors, including, but not limited to internet, cell phones, telephone lines, printers and stationary, couriers, hotel and lodging, among others;
    • Assist in vendor source selection;
    • Assist in report production and distribution.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Finance Manager and Regional Data Manager.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
    • 2-5 years of experience managing USG/USAID contracts, including experience in supporting finance, procurement, operations, administration, logistics and human resource tasks.
    • Knowledge of financial software applications, including Quickbooks and others.
    • S/he will have demonstrated progressive experience working in the field of finance and compliance with knowledge of USAID requirements
    • Fluency in spoken and written English.
