    Project Manager

    Reports to: Head of Creative & Production Services Grade level; LSG 02B Direct reports: Project team, Production Assistants, suppliers and other third parties
    Core areas of responsibilities:

    • Overseeing every aspect of the production of each project.
    • Ensuring that the client's requirements are exceeded, the project is completed on time and within budget. Principal duties:
    • Agreeing project objectives and representing the client's interests throughout.
    • Providing independent advice, assessment and feedback on the management of the project, risk, and in response to any critical changes to the budget or objectives.
    • Developing and managing the execution of all the elements of the project (for instance, event management, wardrobe, technical, design, app development, content, visuals, script writing, talent, photography, videography, etc.) ensuring they exceed delivery specifications and standards.
    • Sourcing, organising and managing the production teams, providing leadership, motivation, direction and support, with the overarching objective of ensuring the team delivers excellent client service and quality.
    • Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure the production of each project is communicated and delivered efficiently, including providing reports on the project status and budget.
    • Client liaisons as required to communicate the progress of each production.
    • Using the latest technology and other resources for end-to-end production management and keeping track of people, activities, progress, problems and solutions.
    • Budget management and control for all aspects of the project; including liaising with procurement, accounting and clients to facilitate accuracy.
    • Leading on-site inspections, team meetings and providing reports on the project status and budget.
    • Specifically for event projects, coordinating team members, handling client and guest queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all the aims of the event and quality standards are met; and overseeing post-event evaluation (including analysis and reporting for event stakeholders).
    • Managing the quality control checks of every project before delivery.
    • Undertake any necessary duties to ensure a first class service is provided at all times.

    Qualifications, Competency & Skills Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Production, or Marketing or minimum five years’ previous project management experience.
    • A Masters in Project Management, Production or Marketing would be an advantage.
    • Experienced Microsoft Office user, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Competent Internet, email and Google applications user.
    • Sound knowledge of the creative, marketing, experiential and entertainment industries in Nigeria.

    • Clear verbal communicator with excellent telephone manner.
    • Able to work accurately with excellent attention to detail at all times.
    • Able to develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
    • Excellent organisation skills.
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a professional manner.
    • Able to cope well when under pressure from competing priorities, unpredictable requests and interruptions.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Delivery of the project on time and on budget.
    • Exceeding clients’ objectives.
    • Quality of work: at a world-class standard that surpasses the ‘wow’ factor.

    Location:
    Lagos, Nigeria, and other locations as required.
    Hours:
    08.30am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays plus other hours as required.
