Job Description:

To support compliance to defined, policies, processes and procedures rolled out, provide opinion on process/policy alignment with best practices and make recommendations for improvement.

The role holder will lead the effective roll-out and governance of policy and processes for assigned functions, enable, monitor and support audit observations and be the interface for GTM functions with auditor.

Job Description:

Effective Interface with Internal Assurance group team for close looping:

• Effective engagement with the IA group team to define the audit and pain areas.
• Engaging within the OPCO to ensure the learning’s of the audit findings from other OpCo’s are implemented as best practice, ensuring the reduction in the learning cycle.
• Effective implementation of the learning’s tracker and close looping for the OPCO.
• Ensuring all the audit observations of the OpCo’s are effectively close looped.
• Ensuring process gaps are identified and shared with Process owner/Function Head for implementation.
• Ensuring technology gaps are identified and shared with relevant stakeholders for implementation Interface with Networks and Information Technology for audits and closures.

Regulatory QoS interface management to ensure that all regulatory parameters are effectively tracked.

• Align with regulatory teams for all key QoS KPI’s for Technology Functions (Networks & IT), ensuring compliance levels are tracked and measured.
• Ensure that Network & IT infrastructure and platforms are equipped and ready for the delivery of KPI’s.
• Ensure effective process design with complete RCA and action plan for breaches and submission to the regulator.
• Implement and Lead Compliance, Audits and learning sharing for Network & IT Policies and Processes.
• Ensuring effective implementation of Adherence to Regulatory QoS standards and requirements.

Process/Policy Compliance

• Process and Policy design and reengineering, designing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and check sheets, monitor and report process performance KPIs.
• Create interface & co-ordination to ensure compliance to policies, processes and procedures for the OPCO.
• Constantly engage with the Technology Functions (Networks & IT at Group and OpCo’s to align the processes and closure of all open issues.

Improvement projects:

• Identifies and drive projects for assigned function both - Business and Customer Impacting and revenue/cost impacting and Mentoring Project Teams, using lean and six sigma tools.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with least 3 years in IT/Networks Operations audit experience in Telecommunications.
• Minimum of three (3) years Telco Networks audit experience.
• Experience evaluating Network Architecture etc.
• Exposure to technology, process reengineering and handling decentralized operations is desirable
• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Science.

Job Responsibilities:

Project management

• Interpret URS (User Requirement Specification) / PCN (Product Concept Note) and develop CSRs (Customer Service Requests).
• Manage and Deliver New products and projects, following strict project management guidelines.
• Provide overall project leadership and direct project teams in the delivery of high-quality products within committed timeframes.
• Constitute cross-functional project teams.
• Drive requirement specification sessions (RSS).
• Should have worked in multi-vendor networks and have good knowledge of different standards. Understanding of IT systems and Applications like Mobile Money/E-commerce platforms, Billing, CRM, ERP, Sales Systems etc.
• Scan technology horizon and track emerging standards and trends.
• Adopt future proof technology.

Solution Architecture:

• Responsible for the solution architecture and ensuring that the standard framework is always applicable.
• Take ownership of solution and service offerings that promises increase in revenue and clear business benefits.
• Develop and execute a solution strategy and business plan that supports product growth.
• Design and develop new systems that would support products and services for multiple market segments, across the entire spectrum of customers.
• Provide in-depth technical analysis of proposed business solutions while also playing an advisory role to business and IT leadership.
• Advise business leadership on how IT can transform the business plane.
• Strong leadership skills. Superior strategic planning and successful tactical implementation skills.

External Partner Management Process:

• Drive third party partner engagement for new product development.
• Manage project delivery and payment milestones with strategic partners.
• Liaise and review SLAs (Service level Agreements) with vendors.
• Ensure prompt response to Group request on product development activities.
• Prompt resolution and management of issues with vendors.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• Graduate Degree: BSc Computer Science or related discipline.
• Project management certification would be an advantage.
• Eight to ten (8-10) years of IT experience.
• At Least four to five (4-5) years system operations experience.
• At Least three to four (3-4) years System Solution Architecture experience is required.
• Experience working in a financial technology environment with necessary experience and knowledge working on financial platforms.
• Experience working for a Telecommunications company, Enterprise company or Billing/ CRM vendor in a Business Analysis role.
• Proven ability to analyze complex business requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Direct team management experience.
• Experience with telecommunication products, processes, and markets.
• Impact (and relative importance) of IT in telecoms today and in the future.
• Experience in Core Banking Implementation and Integration would be an added advantage.
