    Technical Services / Sales Engineer - Chemical

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a Technical Services / Sales Engineer to develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients in the oil and gas industry.
    • The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, provide technical solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of chemical products and services that meet client needs and production objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting business relationships with clients across major IOCs, independent producers, and service companies.
    • Identify new business opportunities for production chemicals to achieve revenue targets.
    • Deliver chemical solutions and technical support in line with clients’ operational needs.
    • Conduct field trials to evaluate chemical performance, effectiveness, and compatibility in oilfield systems.
    • Collaborate with internal R&D teams to develop new product formulations when required.
    • Serve as the lead point of contact for clients, coordinating technical issue resolution and service support.
    • Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring timely service delivery and fulfillment of commitments.
    • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer surveys to identify growth opportunities.
    • Support the implementation of sales and marketing strategies to expand business reach.
    • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and service delivery.

    Experience / Requirements

    • B.Sc., B.Eng., or HND in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field (minimum of Second Class Upper / Upper Credit).
    • Master’s degree in a related field.
    • Relevant professional certifications in oilfield chemicals or production technology are an added advantage.
    • Experience: 3–6 years of experience in technical sales, production chemistry, or oilfield chemicals within the oil and gas industry.
    • Strong technical knowledge of chemical applications in production systems.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple client projects and deliver under pressure.

    Account Officer

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Accounting & Reporting:

    • Record all financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journals) accurately and promptly in the ERP system.
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations using the ERP system.
    • Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly management reports.
    • Support inter-company reconciliation with Pacegate Limited and Adipro.

    Payables & Receivables Management:

    • Verify supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.
    • Obtain necessary approvals from authorized signatories.
    • Prepare bank payment instructions.
    • Assist in the preparation of weekly debtors’ reports.
    • Maintain vendor payable summaries, track advance payments, and ensure timely booking of purchases with complete documentation

    Compliance & Audit Support:

    • Prepare and remit VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Pension schedules on time.
    • Maintain organized documentation for internal and external audits.
    • Support external auditors by providing accurate and timely financial data.

    Inventory Management:

    • Participate in monthly physical stock counts and reconcile inventory (raw materials, finished goods, WIP) with production and warehouse records.

    ERP & Process Improvement:

    • Support periodic system reconciliations between Tally and eResource ERP during migration phases.

    Qualifications

    • Educational Qualification: Minimum: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Experience:2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
    • Strong experience in financial reporting, ERP systems, and tax compliance
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
    • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
    • Familiarity with Nigerian tax laws and compliance processes
    • High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
    • Strong organizational and coordination abilities
    • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and collaborate with multiple departments
