    Team Lead, Risk Management

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage and report risks in accordance with the company’s governance framework and policy guidelines
    • Monitor and evaluate the company’s performance in the application of risk in its decision-making process and propose continuous improvements
    • Contribute effectively to the embedding of risks within the company by actively participating in targeted firm-wide training and awareness sessions on an on-going basis
    • Contribute effectively to the management of financial and non-financial risks across the company
    • Ensure the compliance of risk appetite and portfolio limits and contribute to the effective management of exposures that adversely impact the company’s balance sheet
    • Interpret and apply changes in environment to risk operating procedures.
    • Support the conduct of policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors.

    Competencies & Skills Requirements

    • Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk management concepts
    • Strong knowledge on portfolio risk management techniques, e.g. key risk metrics for players in the financial markets, capital management, database management, risk analysis etc.
    • Strong understanding of development and trends in both international and African financial sectors, as well as regulations and trends within these markets
    • Strong experience in the analysis of business metrics and the formulation of Key Risk and Performance Indicators
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong computer and research skills; knowledge of analysis software is preferred

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Legal (Master’s Degree is an additional advantage)
    • Relevant local or international certifications in Risk management
    • Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience preferably in the financial services sector

    IT Network Engineer

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintaining computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
    • Installing and configuring network equipment
    • Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected
    • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
    • Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
    • Implementing disaster recovery procedures

    Education and Work Experience

    • Minimum of 5-7 years’ relevant experience

    • Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP
    • In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers and printers
    • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently

    Team Lead, Corporate Claims

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    • Negotiate with corporate customers on settlement amounts, terms and recovery actions in accordance with organization policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations
    • Communicate all claims decisions in a timely and appropriate manner and ensure that communication during the assessment process is regular, timely, and clearly documented.
    • Determine if technical and/or high-value claims should be accepted based on results of claims analysis and reports from service providers
    • Determine settlement amounts for technical and/or high-value insurance claims based on investigation outcomes
    • Assess potential high-value fraudulent claims by evaluating documents and information collected against common indicators of frauds
    • Interpret policy wordings and conditions to determine the validity of claims and advises the claimant accordingly
    • Ensure claim matters are handled according to customer service standards and defined customer experience policies
    • Review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to each stage of the insurance claims process and propose recommendations to increase efficiency
    • Identify claims trends to propose product design enhancements
    • Determine appropriate modifications to business processes to ensure seamless transition and minimize resistance for claims handling
    • Ensure accuracy of records and adherence to internal controls

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Insurance or any related discipline
    • Minimum of 7-9 years’ experience in claims with at least 3 years leading a team.
    • Must possess a CIIN membership.

    • Demonstrate technical claims knowledge and experience
    • Able to provide recommendations to improve claims operations
    • Able to analyze claims records to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of claims operations against predefined performance standards

    Legal Officer

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    • Document legal drafting and writing approaches suited for organization's use
    • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
    • Provide advisory services on issues that relate to the legal and regulatory framework and liaise with necessary regulatory bodies when needed.
    • Collaborate with senior management to drive responsive actions to address legal-related public policy issues.
    • Assist in the development of policies, procedures and guidelines
    • Execute legal and compliance vision, strategies and frameworks.
    • Provide advisory services on issues that relate to the legal and regulatory framework and liaise with necessary regulatory bodies when needed.

    • Interpret new/ existing local and international laws, regulations and decrees which will affect operations in Nigeria and provide advice accordingly.
    • Keep abreast of the latest legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the organization by subscribing to various information channels to maintain updated knowledge and organizational compliance
    • Provide all such other administrative and other secretarial duties as directed by the Legal Counsel & Company Secretary.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL. B) and B.L
    • Relevant postgraduate degree and professional qualification.
    • 3-5 Years relevant work experience

    Team Lead, Payments and Collections

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    • Apply broad-based regulatory, industry knowledge and awareness of current and past business trends in payments processing
    • Verify customer information against documentation provided and flag discrepancies based on understanding of the regulator and organization’s transaction processing requirements
    • Perform daily transactions, position, and balance reconciliation, ensuring all exceptions are investigated and resolved before end of the day
    • Monitor accounts payable statements to identify debts owed to their company
    • Contact customers or business partners to notify them of overdue payments and documenting debts collected
    • Perform relevant collateral reconciliations and resolve breaks to manage the associated risks
    • Ensure that processes are in place to measure and monitor operational and financial effectiveness
    • Regularly reviews and keeps investment account statements, transaction, or other documents, and ask for a copy of these documents if not provided
    • Prepare collateral-related control and management reports and escalate exceptions for corrective actions.
    • Maintain updates to investment management agreement rules, including the removal of rules, additions to investment agreement rules or new regulatory rules.
    • Keep abreast of latest industry and market developments in the local and global markets.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any related discipline.
    • Must possess relevant professional qualification
    • Minimum 10 years relevant experience

    • Understanding of the payment systems, key participants, and the settlement process.
    • Ability to apply accounting knowledge in performing general reconciliation of transactions
