    English Teacher

    Job Summary:

    • Dreamboat British Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced British English Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the British National Curriculum. The successful candidate will inspire a passion for language and literature, while equipping students with strong literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills in a structured yet engaging classroom environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in accordance with the British National Curriculum.
    • Teach reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and speaking with clarity and precision.
    • Monitor, assess, and record student progress; provide timely and constructive feedback.
    • Prepare students for internal and external assessments, ensuring academic readiness.
    • Foster a love for literature, language, and lifelong learning.
    • Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive student engagement.
    • Contribute to curriculum development and participate in school-wide academic activities.

    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education (English specialization), or a related field.
    • Proven teaching experience with the British Curriculum.
    • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Grade Teacher (Social Studies and Christian Religious Knowledge)

    • To plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in Social Studies and Christian Religious Knowledge that build knowledge, values, and critical thinking, while fostering moral and spiritual growth in line with the school’s ethos.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons in Social Studies and CRK aligned with the school curriculum.
    • Teach pupils to understand cultural, historical, and civic responsibilities, while instilling biblical principles and Christian values.
    • Develop lesson notes, teaching aids, and resources to support interactive learning.
    • Maintain a stimulating and orderly classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
    • Assess, record, and report on pupils’ academic progress and character development.
    • Integrate storytelling, role play, debates, scripture references, and real-life applications into lessons to deepen understanding.
    • Guide pupils to appreciate cultural heritage, good citizenship, and the importance of faith in daily living.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities and school-wide programs.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on pupils’ progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
    • Uphold the school’s Christian ethos and serve as a role model in conduct, speech, and values.
    • Carry out any other duties assigned by the school management.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Studies, Religious Studies, or related field.
    • Teaching qualification (PGDE, NCE, TRCN registration, or equivalent).
    • At least 2 years’ teaching experience in primary or lower secondary school.
    • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline with warmth and fairness.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to integrate biblical principles with academic learning.
    • Creativity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous professional development.

    Class Assistant

    Job Description

    Classroom Support

    • Assist the Class Teacher in preparing and organizing learning materials and teaching aids.
    • Set up the classroom before lessons and ensure it is tidy after activities.
    • Support children during lessons, group work, and practical activities.
    • Help reinforce concepts taught by the teacher through guided practice and individual support.
    • Assist in displaying pupils' work and maintaining attractive learning corners.

    Child Supervision and Care

    • Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils at all times.
    • Supervise children during arrival, dismissal, break periods, mealtimes, and outdoor activities.
    • Assist younger children with personal care needs where necessary.
    • Encourage positive behavior and help children follow classroom routines and school rules.
    • Monitor children's well-being and report any concerns to the Class Teacher immediately.

    Learning Support

    • Provide one-on-one or small-group support to pupils as directed by the teacher.
    • Support children with varying learning needs and abilities.
    • Encourage participation, independence, confidence, and social interaction among pupils.
    • Help monitor and record pupils' progress when requested.

    Classroom Management

    • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
    • Ensure learning materials, toys, books, and equipment are properly stored and cared for.
    • Help manage transitions between activities smoothly.
    • Support the implementation of classroom behavior management strategies.

     Administrative Duties

    • Assist with attendance records when required.
    • Prepare worksheets, photocopies, learning resources, and activity materials.
    • Help organize pupils' portfolios, files, and classroom records.
    • Support school events, exhibitions, celebrations, and educational trips.

    Health and Safety

    • Follow all school safeguarding, health, and safety policies.
    • Report accidents, illnesses, hazards, or safeguarding concerns promptly.
    • Ensure classrooms and activity areas meet safety standards.
    • Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation drills when required.

    Parent and School Collaboration

    • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
    • Communicate respectfully with parents when directed by the Class Teacher or school management.
    • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other staff members.
    • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
