    Shift Production Manager

    Job Function:

    The Shift Production Manager will oversee daily shop floor operations across the entire Aluminium extrusion production chain from melting of Aluminium scrap to packaging of finished aluminium profiles. This role ensures that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality, while driving continuous improvement and team performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise all production activities during your assigned shift
    • Allocate manpower and oversee operator performance
    • Monitor production output and take corrective actions as needed
    • Enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping standards on the shopfloor
    • Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and QA teams
    • Reduce downtime and material wastage through lean practices
    • Maintain accurate shift reports and handover summaries
    • Train and guide operators on SOPs and quality requirements

    Requirements:

    • HND/BSc in Engineering or related technical field.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing shift leadership or shift supervisor role.
    • Strong knowledge of shop floor operations, lean manufacturing practices & TPM methodologies.
    • Excellent team coordination, discipline enforcement, and problem-solving skills.
    • Must be results-driven with strong attention to safety and output targets.

    HSE Officer

    Summary

    • We are currently seeking a Safety Officer at our facility in Awka, Anambra State, to effectively manage and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment on the company's shop floor.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols and procedures on the shop floor.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Investigate any accidents or incidents on the shop floor and prepare detailed reports.
    • Conduct safety training sessions for employees to promote a culture of safety.
    • Ensure that all safety equipment and devices are properly maintained and in good working condition.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
    • Prepare and put up safety signages regularly.
    • Stay informed about the latest safety regulations and best practices in the industry.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on safety activities and performance to management.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Minimum of HND in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
    • 2 - 5 years proven experience as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
    • Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed reports.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement practical solutions.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
    • Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.

    Maintenance Lead

    Role Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Lead to take full ownership of plant equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and technical team supervision.
    • The ideal candidate is structured, safety-focused, and capable of driving maintenance systems that reduce downtime and support stable production.
    • This role is critical to production continuity and requires both strong technical competence and leadership maturity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and supervise all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across the plant
    • Develop and enforce preventive and planned maintenance schedules
    • Ensure maximum uptime of: Extrusion presses,Melting furnaces, Compressors, cooling systems, and auxiliary equipment
    • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns promptly with root-cause analysis
    • Manage maintenance technicians and assign daily tasks effectively
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports
    • Enforce safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and proper PPE use
    • Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of equipment
    • Work closely with Production and Operations teams to align priorities
    • Identify spare parts requirements and support inventory planning
    • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes and reliability.

    Requirements

    • HND or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
    • 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
    • Proven experience leading or supervising maintenance teams
    • Strong knowledge of:
      • Mechanical systems
      • Electrical panels and controls
      • Motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics
    • Experience in extrusion, foundry, FMCG, steel, or heavy manufacturing is an advantage
    • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • High level of discipline, accountability, and professionalism.
