    Senior Process Engineer

    Job Summary

    • To provide process Engineering expertise and support the delivery of projects.
    • The position involves provision of technical input & assurance throughout the project lifecycle including Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning stages, to safeguard design, technical and operational integrity. 

    Key Responsibilities
    The purpose of this position is to;

    • Deliver high-quality process engineering input for the Process Engineering Discipline in project.
    • Function as Senior Process Engineer and a Subject Matter Expert (SME process modelling).
    • Assist the Process Discipline lead in managing the process discipline and willing/available to support other projects and Assets when required.
    • Provide high quality – well thought out and documented – process engineering deliverables.
    • Support the Project in meeting process safety AIPSM (Asset Integrity Process Safety Management) requirements for Design, Construction and operations.
    • Interpret and apply design standards and Provide Process Engineering inputs in technical reviews and Management of Change to ensure technical integrity, efficiency, and safety of facilities.
    • Contribute to successful project design delivery – on schedule and on budget – through efficient design practices.
    • Share and implement global best practice and learnings with special focus on standardisation and repeatability.
    • Develop effective and supportive working relationships with other disciplines.
    • Support and coach trainee Engineers.
    • Provide process related technical clarifications with contractors/vendors and seek avenues for cost savings.
    • Work with a diverse range of process equipment vendors to optimise equipment design through the application of best practices.
    • Apply minimum technical specification and system engineering initiatives for project specifications and contractors’ activities on process engineering.
    • Verification of the design works carried out by engineering contractors to ensure proposed solutions meet integrity, reliability, operability and maintainability requirements when required.
    • Provide support during the fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning of process equipment, and conduct shop and field acceptance testing.
    • Participate in the development of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up plans for the facility.
    • Contributory participation in multi-discipline project reviews including HAZOP, HAZID, E-3D model, layout, SIL classification studies, design reviews and constructability reviews.

    Academic Qualification

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering).
    • NSE and COREN membership.

    Required Experience:

    • Experience with offshore platforms, FPSOs, or onshore terminals is desirable.
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience within the oil and gas industry

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Demonstrated competences for process engineering
    • Experience with understanding of the operations and maintenance work processes.
    • Knowledge of HSSE framework and international engineering standards, best practices, and systems.
    • A good understanding of practices, standards and technologies relating to Oil and Gas facilities.
    • Skilled in the use of simulation tools e.g., UNISIM, IPSM-GAP, PIPESIM, etc.
    • Strong team, personal and people management skills, committed to learning and continuous improvement.
    • Considerable customer focus, interpersonal skills and commercial astuteness are required together with initiative, expertise and energy to identify and exploit business opportunities.
    • Good communication skills are essential.
    • Ability to function effectively in a multi-ethnic, multi-disciplinary environment.
    • Good leadership, coaching, negotiating, decision making, personal relations and communications skills are paramount for success.

    Senior Electrical Engineer

    Job Summary

    • The Senior Electrical Engineer will support the Principal Electrical Engineer and manage electrical engineering activities across all oil and gas projects and facilities for Projects, including design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems.
    • The role requires deep technical expertise and the capability to function as an Electrical technical authority, providing safety, technical, and project leadership, and compliance with Nigerian and international standards to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective projects and operations

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as Electrical technical authority, providing technical assurance and governance for electrical systems.
    • Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring alignment with company standards and industry best practices.
    • Support audits, incident investigations, and management of change (MoC) processes related to electrical systems.
    • Lead electrical design for power generation, distribution, motor control, and protection systems.
    • Develop specifications, datasheets, and drawings for electrical equipment and installations.
    • Ensure designs meet IEC, IEEE, NEC, and Nigerian standards (e.g., NESIS, DPR, NMDPRA).
    • Promote and enforce electrical safety across all phases of engineering and operations.
    • Ensure compliance with hazardous area classifications (ATEX/IECEx), arc flash protection, and lockout/tagout procedures.
    • Conduct electrical safety risk assessments, participate in HAZOPs, and support the coordination of SAFOPs and preparation of SAFOP reports.
    • Drive continuous improvement in electrical safety culture and practices.
    • Manage electrical scope in FEED, detailed design, and construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and supervise contractors during installation and commissioning.
    • Ensure quality control and timely delivery of electrical systems.
    • May require travel to offshore platforms or remote sites.
    • Must be willing to work in challenging environments and comply with safety protocols

    Academic Qualification

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • NSE membership and COREN registrable. 

    Required Experience:

    • Experience with offshore platforms, FPSOs, or onshore terminals is desirable.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry.

    Principal Process Automation Control & Optimization (PACO) Engineer

    Job Summary

    • Provide PACO discipline engineering support and technical authority to one of the Company’s new projects during design, Construction and CSU phases.
    • The work will be carried out in accordance with the mandatory Project and the selected engineering standards, but there are many aspects of the job (e.g. contractor management, deviations from Technical Standards) that require a high level of judgment and interpretation.
    • The role requires effective interfaces with specialist support from within the wider Shell Group. The role specifically focuses on support to design, construction and commissioning, including supporting the Flawless Project Delivery Plan, interaction with System/equipment.
    • The ideal candidate shall ensure Operations and Maintenance (O&M) requirements are fully captured in the design, and re-design is minimized or avoided in later project phases.
    • She/he shall also ensure the facility is in synergy with and adequately integrated with smart field, and in line with WRFM requirements

    Key Responsibilities
    The purpose of this position is to;

    • May lead/manage multiple engineers – PACO engineers and 3rd party contractors – in the PACO scope of work related to the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
    • Provide technical support to aid Project interface with internal and external stakeholders – Asset team, Engineering Design Contractors, JV partners, and Regulatory agencies and contribute to the resolution of technical interface issues between disciplines
    • Ensure that all the design decisions are in line with all relevant group standards and blueprint – project management, Design engineering manuals, and HSE
    • Deliver the full benefits and functionalities of PACO technologies aligned to exceeding the spirit of current operation and maintenance philosophy

    Academic Qualification

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
    • NSE and COREN membership.

    Required Experience:

    • Experience with offshore platforms, FPSOs, or onshore terminals is desirable.
    • Minimum of 14 years’ experience in PACO within the oil and gas industry 

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Knowledge of HSSE framework and international engineering standards, best practices, and systems.
    • Experience in plant Automation, process control & safeguarding, and system integration, including 3rd party packages
    • Experienced in managing MAC, especially Emerson Delta V system (chosen project MAC).
    • Experience in managing pre-commissioning and commissioning of a variety of PLC, DCS and SIS; design reviews, FAT, iFAT and SAT for 3rd party Vendor packages such as Gas Turbines, Compressors, metering package and system integration
    • Experience in the specification, design and integration of telecommunications systems
    • Strong technical foundation with the ability to work independently, as well as challenge and support others
    • Good working knowledge of a broad range of electrical/electronic engineering systems and tools and understanding of the EP business and other discipline needs.
    • Conversant with Nigerian and International oil and gas facilities design codes and standards.
    • Ability to function effectively in a multi-ethnic, multi-disciplinary environment.
    • Good leadership, coaching, negotiating, decision-making, personal relations, and communication skills are paramount for success. Intercultural awareness and team integration abilities are a requirement.
    • Personal effectiveness and ability to work and deliver with minimal supervision.
