    Senior Frontend Engineer

    We’re on the lookout for a passionate Senior Frontend Engineer who is a creative problem solver and excited about to disrupting banking in Nigeria.

    Responsibilities

    • Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications
    • Reviewing application requirements, interface designs and identifying web-based user interactions
    • Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
    • Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes
    • Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts
    • Monitoring and improving front-end performance
    • Documenting application changes and developing updates
    • Developing new user-facing features using React.js
    • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
    • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

    Requirements

    • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages
    • You can comfortably work with CSS preprocessors such as Sass and Less
    • Can write readable and logically sound Javascript
    • Possess strong experience with user interface design
    • Have great experience working as a React.js Developer
    • Pocess the knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux
    • Familiar with task runners like Grunt, Webpac and work on large-scale/complex front-end projects

    • You can think through product requirements to come up with ways of quickly solving problems

    Backend Engineer

    Role 

    We are looking for a result-driven and analytical software engineer (backend) who will troubleshoot and improve existing backend applications and processes. S/he will use his or her understanding of programming tools and languages to analyze current codes, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems and create a more seamless experience for users.

    Responsibilities

    • Main focus on coding and debugging
    • Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future
    • Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean codes
    • Troubleshoot and debug applications
    • Conduct tests and optimise performance
    • Work together with engineers building client-facing applications to integrate UI elements with server-side logic
    • Implement modern technologies to improve legacy applications
    • Collect, analyse and address technical and design requirements
    • Help to create reusable code and libraries for future use
    • Train and support internal teams
    • Interact with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of industry experience
    • Bachelors or higher in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent
    • Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures background
    • Model of software engineering best practices, including agile development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting
    • Solid experience with C#, .Net, .Net Core
    • Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures background
    • A deep understanding of Source Code Management
    • Possess an in-depth understanding of Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS)
    • A great understanding of databases and SQL
    • An in-depth understanding of REST APIs, SOAP & RPC
    • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Experience in technical writing and API documentation
    • Familiar with project management tools (e.g Trello, Jira, etc)

    Data Analyst - Credit

    Role Overview

    As a Data Analyst - Credit, you are supporting the analytics throughout the credit product life cycle, from product design, to credit acquisition, portfolio management, collection and profit & loss. You will work within the Decision Science team, reporting to the Credit Risk Analytics Lead.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Analyze portfolio performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
    • Review and refine credit policies, including rule-based decision engines
    • Build and maintain profit and loss forecasts to guide strategic decisions
    • Conduct credit limit assignment and affordability assessments
    • Perform score cut-off analysis to improve approval and risk strategies
    • Monitor and enhance collection strategies based on customer segmentation and outcomes
    • Design and run A/B tests to assess and optimize lending and collections performance
    • Communicate actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders

    Requirements

    • Academic background in a mathematical discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related field)
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantitative Analyst or Data Analyst in a financial services, fintech or e-commerce environment
    • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
    • Hands-on experience with open-source statistical programming languages such as Python or R
    • Solid understanding of statistical tests commonly used in A/B testing
    • Experience using statistical software packages (open-source preferred)
    • Proven experience developing and maintaining analytical reports or dashboards from end-to-end
    • Ability to interpret and present insights from reports in a business context, including stakeholder engagement and recommendation

    • Strong understanding of credit risk and portfolio performance metrics, including:
    • Annualised loss
    • Vintage curves
    • Roll rates
    • Exposure at Default (EAD)
