Responsibilities

• Develop IT software solutions including APIs and microservices
• Participate in and support the Agile framework roles of planning, programming, testing, and analysis
• Provide ongoing level 2 support for IT software solutions
• Participate in technical workshops and learning sessions with IT support stakeholders to ensure the continued stability and availability of developed software solutions
• Define and implement detailed specifications in line with business requirements as informed by company and client needs
• Troubleshoot obstacles and errors quickly and effectively in a scalable fashion
• Actively seek out and implement improvements to process and development practices
• Fulfill additional tasks as required by direct management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field
• Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or have an exemption certificate
• At least 4 years of direct programming experience
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills as well as an ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously and to a deadline
• Proven success as a .NET developer
• Comprehensive understanding of the ASP.NET framework, SQL server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g., CLEAN Architecture) and grasp of different architecture styles/APIs including REST and RPC
• Experience in the finance or fintech sector is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail
• Professional fluency in English is vital, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Build applications according to the design and provide designers with feedback, suggesting tradeoffs when required.
• Ensure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards.
• Work closely with backend developers to understand and properly use the system’s APIs.
• Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks.
• Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or have an exemption certificate.
• 4-5 years of experience as a front-end developer building modern applications.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming.
• Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests.
• Mobile development experience with either native or web-to-native tooling and frameworks.
• Java, Javascript, Angular, HTML, CSS knowledge, React and Flutter (Native Android) knowledge is also an advantage.
• Understanding of APIs and how to use them in practice.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience as a developer on a cross-functional agile team preferred.
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions.
• Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply.
• Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently.
• Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging/disruptive technologies.
