    Safety Officer

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure zero Loss Time Accident and fatality by professionally implementing company HSE policy, procedures and rules on site for employees, sub-contractors and other stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health as far as is reasonably practicable.
    • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to by all personnel on site and are communicated when reviewed.
    • Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and construction site operations.
    • Participate in preparation and implementation of Project Health and Safety Plan.
    • Conduct Project Site Health and Safety Induction for all personnel on site.
    • Ensure that Risk Assessment and Method Statement, Safety Data Sheet, Job Hazard Analysis are communicated and documented to all concerned personnel before commencement of any hazardous task or operation.
    • Facilitate all incidents investigations and ensure they are reported and recommended Corrective Actions Plan (CAP) for improvements are implemented.
    • Carry out Permit-To-Work monitoring and review.
    • Ensure that Health and Safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
    • Participate in the development of health & safety policies, safe systems of work and procedures.
    • Ensure full and accurate Health & Safety and trainings (internal and external) records are kept and maintained.
    • Liaise with clients and subcontractors Health & Safety representative in resolving health and safety issues on the project site.
    • Advise Site/Project Manager on Health and Safety matters.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree or equivalent in any discipline, NEBOSH IGC or Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
    • Must be a member of ISPON. Membership of other professional health and safety body will be an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • 7 to 10 years experience as a Safety Officer preferably in construction environment.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Ability to develop HSE file for the overall Project so that the safety files are prepared and maintained for each work package.
    • Ability to carry out adequate safety monitoring and supervision of subcontractor’s activities.
    • Ability to review contractor’s safe system of work and advise on the most effective solution.
    • Ability to implement HSE risk management process for the site.
    • Ability to monitor residual risk, assist in the identification of new risk, and the execution of risk reduction plans “

    • MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook,email

    Internal Auditor

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure that all Finances in the Company complies with ethical standards of best practice and company systems and policies.

    Responsibilities

    • Review accounting and internal controls Systems on all areas of operations and reporting of findings to Management for action.
    • Review Documentations.
    • Monitoring of implementation of recommendation with which Management are in agreement.
    • Identification and reporting on risks that might mitigate effective operations.
    • Investigation into areas of anomalies and irregularities that raises issues of concern.
    • To ensure that the Company complies with internal control systems and policies.
    • To ensure that the Company complies with the relevant accounting standards in financial reports.
    • To ensure that the Company complies with ethical standards as well as best practice in every area of operations.
    • To ensure that the Company complies with all relevant provision of the law as it affects operations.
    • Any other duty that may be assigned form time to time.

    Qualification and Experience

    • HND / Bachelor's Degree Accounting + ICAN Chartered.
    • 7 - 10 years auditing and financial experience.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Ability to spot red flags in less obvious accounting transactions and control weaknesses.
    • Ability to manage normal human resistance.
    • Ability to conduct exit meeting.
    • Full operational knowledge of assigned auditing area.
    • Computer skills-Microsoft office tools, Accounting ERP-Opticon,SAP
    • Good understanding of all audit activities.
    • Strong ability to manage day-to-day transactions across assigned audit value chain
