    Research Intern

    Working with the Research Team

    • At Seven Star Consultants Limited, the selected candidate is expected to utilize professional skills to support research and development activities. The research intern will work in a team, to fulfil organizational goals and initiatives related to research, data analysis, knowledge management and multi-sectoral human and economic development activities.
    • As a research intern with Seven Star Consultants Ltd, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to gain experience and attain skills in multiple facets of research and international development, and other activities related to daily operations and administrative duties in a professional environment:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in developing accurate and efficient tests to be used in surveys that are to be carried out
    • Assist in Developing training schedule and training notes
    • Assist in organizing workshops
    • Assist in creation of work plans and timeline
    • Working with teams to find solutions to risks and issues and reduce risk and work with stakeholders on appropriate solutions as and when required.
    • Participate in data collection and analysis
    • Support data entry, processing, analysis and validation.
    • Represent and make presentations on behalf of the organization from time to time
    • Actively participate in client presentations

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, research and statistics, demographic studies, public policy, development studies or any other related field.
    • Multilingual speaker desirable, especially in French
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and at least one statistical analysis software, Such as SPSS, Nvivo, R-project.
    • Self-starter, good time management, creative, with ability to communicate in a professional manner
    • Experience living and working in different cultures
    • Must be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, who will thrive by taking ownership and initiative.

    • Assist the research lead with activities related to the development and implementation of research projects.
    • Other functions within the job purview include collecting and processing of field data for the survey components, provide administrative support to the research executive.
    • The research intern musthave literature search/survey skills, possess data collection and analysis skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and at least one statistical analysis software, Such as SPSS, Nvivo, R-project.

    Skill requirements:

    Research Executive

    Job Summary
    Working with the Research Team at Seven Star Consultants:

    • The research executive is expected to elicit professional skills to assist the Team lead in implementing organizational communications and marketing strategies. The senior research executive will work independently and, in a team, to fulfil organizational goals and initiatives related to marketing, research, knowledge management and events.
    • As a research executive with Seven Star Consultants Ltd, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and managing research projects for various clients in the public and private sectors. The research executive will work closely with the team lead and the research team to design and implement research methodologies, collect and analyze data, prepare and present reports, and provide recommendations based on the research findings.

    Responsibilities
    Some of the main duties and responsibilities of a research executive are:

    • Conducting desk research and literature reviews on relevant topics and issues
    • Developing research proposals, questionnaires, interview guides, and other research tools
    • Coordinating and conducting fieldwork activities such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations
    • Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate software and techniques
    • Writing clear and concise research reports and presentations that communicate the research objectives, methods, results, and implications
    • Providing insights and recommendations to the project manager and the client based on the research findings
    • Maintaining regular communication with the project manager and the research team throughout the project cycle
    • Extensively reviewing literature
    • Ensuring quality control and ethical standards are adhered to in all aspects of the research process

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor's degree or higher in social sciences, economics,research andstatistics,public policy,development studies, or a related field
    • At least two years of experience in conducting and managing research projects in a development context
    • Knowledge of various research methodologies and techniques, both quantitative and qualitative
    • Proficiency in using statistical software such as SPSS, Stata, R, and Power bi.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and preferably another language
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Creativity and problem-solving skills
    • Interest and passion for multisectoral issues in the development sector
    • Language requirements: English, French or any Local language (a plus)
    • Skill requirements: Ability to provide meaningful observations with core enterprise business.
