    R & A Technician

    Core Responsibilities
    Installation and Setup:

    • Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including split units, chillers, cold rooms, freezers, and central air systems.
    • Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
    • Connect systems to power supplies and test their performance after installation.

    Maintenance and Servicing

    • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on all cooling and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
    • Clean condensers, evaporators, filters, coils, and fans to maintain air quality and system functionality.
    • Refill refrigerants and lubricants as required.

    Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning and refrigeration units.
    • Replace defective parts such as compressors, thermostats, motors, or sensors.
    • Respond promptly to breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.

    System Monitoring:

    • Monitor temperature controls, pressure levels, and overall system performance.
    • Calibrate thermostats and control systems for efficient temperature regulation.
    • Log and document readings for maintenance reports.

    Energy Efficiency and Safety:

    • Ensure systems operate efficiently to reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
    • Adhere strictly to safety, environmental, and health regulations, especially when handling refrigerants.
    • Maintain compliance with hotel or facility SOPs and environmental laws (e.g., F-Gas regulations).

    Inventory and Documentation:

    • Maintain records of maintenance work, parts used, and refrigerant logs.
    • Request and track spare parts, tools, and consumables.
    • Support the engineering team in preparing daily reports and maintenance schedules.

    Collaboration and Guest Support:

    • Work closely with the engineering team to resolve temperature or cooling issues in guest rooms, kitchens, and event spaces.
    • Respond courteously and promptly to guest complaints relating to air conditioning or refrigeration issues.
    • Support other maintenance staff during major repairs or renovations.

    Emergency Response;

    • Be available for on-call duties, especially during system failures or urgent breakdowns.
    • Act swiftly to prevent food spoilage or guest discomfort in the event of equipment malfunction.

    Key Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
    • Certification in HVAC/R or related field is an added advantage.

    Store Receiver

    Key Responsibilities
    Receiving and Verification:

    • Receive all incoming goods and materials delivered to the premises.
    • Verify that the quantity, quality, and specifications of items match the purchase order (PO), delivery note, and invoice. 
    • Inspect goods for damages, defects, or discrepancies and immediately report any irregularities to the Store Supervisor or Procurement Officer.

    Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    • Ensure all receipts are properly documented with delivery notes, invoices, and receiving reports.
    • Maintain accurate records of all items received, including batch numbers, expiry dates, and supplier details where applicable.
    • Update inventory management systems promptly after goods are received.

    Quality Control:

    • Check perishable items (such as food and beverages) for freshness, temperature compliance, and proper labeling.
    • Reject and document any items that do not meet required quality standards or specifications.

    Coordination:

    • Liaise with suppliers, purchasing department, and accounts for proper reconciliation of deliveries and invoices.
    • Communicate effectively with department heads regarding delivery schedules and special items ordered.

    Storage and Handover:

    • Ensure received goods are handed over to the Storekeeper in good condition and stored in their designated areas.
    • Assist in organizing and labeling items properly to maintain store orderliness.

    Inventory Control:

    • Participate in periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
    • Report shortages, excesses, or obsolete items to the Store Supervisor.

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving and storage.
    • Ensure all hygiene, safety, and environmental standards are maintained during the receiving process.
    • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling company property and supplier information.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Good communication and documentation skills
    • Basic knowledge of inventory and accounting systems
    • Physical fitness for lifting and moving goods
    • Ability to work under pressure and in coordination with multiple departments.
