    Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Officer

    Location: Mowe, Ogun

    Job Summary

    • The Quality Control Laboratory Officer is responsible for conducting laboratory analyses and inspections to ensure that raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.
    • The role supports manufacturing operations by identifying quality issues, maintaining accurate laboratory records, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems and good laboratory practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to approved procedures.
    • Conduct routine laboratory analyses using standard testing methods and laboratory equipment.
    • Record, Review, and interpret test results accurately and promptly.
    • Verify that products comply with internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
    • Monitor production processes and provide timely feedback to production teams on quality-related issues.
    • Investigate non-conforming materials, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and customer complaints related to product quality.
    • Prepare and maintain laboratory documentation, including test records, certificates of analysis, and quality reports.
    • Ensure calibration, maintenance, and proper operation of laboratory equipment and instruments.
    • Maintain laboratory inventory, including reagents, consumables, and reference standards.
    • Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), health and safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
    • Participate in internal audits, external audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Assist in the development, review, and update of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methods.
    • Support implementation and maintenance of quality management systems such as ISO standards.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, or a related field, Masters’ Degree is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 5 – 10 years of relevant laboratory and Quality Control experience in a manufacturing company.
    • Experience with quality management systems and laboratory documentation.
    • Familiarity with applicable industry regulations and standards.

    Required Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Knowledge of laboratory testing techniques and equipment.
    • Proficiency in data recording, analysis, and report writing.
    • Good understanding of statistical quality control principles.
    • Ability to interpret specifications, procedures, and technical documents.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Good organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
    • Percentage of tests completed within specified turnaround times.
    • Number of out-of-specification results investigated and resolved.
    • Laboratory compliance with audit requirements.
    • Accuracy and completeness of laboratory records.
    • Equipment calibration and maintenance compliance rate.
    • Reduction in product defects and customer complaints.
    • Adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

    Maintenance Engineer

    Location: Mowe, Ogun

    Job Summary

    • The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, reliability, and safety of all manufacturing equipment, machinery, utilities, and facilities.
    • This role involves planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment failures, improving machine performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance routine on factory equipment.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation system faults for rectification.
    • Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to production operations.
    • Monitor equipment performance and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure timely repair and maintenance of production machinery, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with production, quality, and health and safety teams to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
    • Support equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modification.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and workplace health and safety standards.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Manage relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
    • Recommend and implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement on machines and equipment.
    • Assist in preparing maintenance budgets and controlling maintenance expenses.
    • Train operators and maintenance technicians on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Masters’ Degree is an added advantage.
    • 5 - 10 years of Engineering Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
    • Engineering Professional Certification is an added advantage.
    • Must be Male between the ages of 30 – 47 years old
    • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
    • Experience with manufacturing equipment, industrial automation systems, and utility systems.
    • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • Project management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

    • Spare parts inventory accuracy.
    • Reduction in unplanned downtime.
    • Safety incident rate.
