    Product Manager

    The Product Manager is a pivotal PayU leadership role, offering a unique opportunity to take part in shaping and driving PayU’s offering. You will play a key role in implementing our long-term strategy, product roadmap, feature set, and market success for our solutions.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Contribute to the platform vision and roadmap
    • Deeply understand our customer’s needs and challenges
    • Write specifications for new and updated epics and user stories.
    • Approve the development results (UAT)
    • Document and communicate newly released features to stakeholders
    • Align and communicate with internal stakeholders (sales, compliance, legal, product managers, etc)
    • Work closely with development team
    • Gather feedback from customers, partners and stakeholders
    • Good understanding of local payment market – Africa (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and ROA)
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and players.

    QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in IT or Commerce).
    • 2-3 years’ experience working as a Product Manager or Business Analyst.
    • Payments/Banking/Financial Services experience preferred.
    • Experience in Africa – Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.
    • Experience working with Development teams using agile methodology.
    • Experience within web, online and ecommerce/payments systems preferred.
    • Exposure into the Africa Landscape.

    Settlement Services Delivery Manager

    • The Settlement Services Delivery Manager is a crucial role responsible for the smooth implementation and ongoing monitoring of the organization's settlement services.
    • You will act as a central point of contact, bridging the gap between the business and settlement teams to ensure seamless cross-functional delivery. In this role, you will play a key part in driving increased company operational efficiency by optimizing settlement processes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES

    • Standardize and automate settlement services for Africa region.
    • Ensure coordination and delivery of projects supporting settlement area.
    • Measure and enhance PayU’s efficiency on settlement services.
    • Implement KPIs, provide their monitoring and drive for their constant improvement.
    • Conduct ongoing assessments of the internal control environment.
    • Ensure compliance of processes with regulatory bodies.
    • Drive process improvements in collaboration with their owners.
    • Support any auditing activities and take responsibility of their successful execution.
    • Data-driven execution.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years of relevant work experience in settlement and/or financial areas.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferably economics or accounting).
    • Experience in process shaping activities and optimization.
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

    • Strong understanding of settlement environment and payments.
    • Ability to drive and deliver.
    • Attention to details and accuracy.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Can manage competing workload and relationships effectively.
    • High level of self-motivation and determination.
    • Excellent change management and communication skills.
    • Ability to work with data, understand figures and take actions based on the findings.

    BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to create clarity.
    • Integrity.
    • Ability to work individually as well as within a team, including project ones.
