    Procurement Lead

    Job Description

    • The Procurement Lead is expected to lead the procurement effort at the Farmer-facing Local Buying Agent and Farm Gate tiers.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Liaises with the key suppliers to determine the adequacy of available resources.
    • To provide direction and inspirational leadership for the team, security & labour as a part of his responsibilities
    • Discharge stock within 24 hours of arrival at WH, and get reports ready within 24 hours of discharge.
    • Manages the interface between the company and Key Suppliers to deepen relationships and resolution of supplier conflicts timely.
    • Provides regular and accurate information on crop flow and farm activity, competitors' activity, and data on the volume of commodities traded in specified zones.
    • Directs and coordinates the activities of key suppliers through Daily Feedback and Weekly Reports.
    • Should know the Buying Agents for various Commodities in Nigeria mainly Rice, Soybean, and Sesame
    • All agreed Reports must be updated on a daily basis.
    • Should be tested towards the Procurement Knowledge for Key Growing Areas, Key Buying Processes, and the Value Drivers.

    Qualifications / Experience

    • Minimum of an OND in Any field.
    • Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Procurement Officer of Agricultural produce, raw materials, and finished food products.
    • Age: 28 – 38 years old.

    Competencies Required:

    • Proactive self-starter
    • Integrity & independent mind, and ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to work with all levels of the team with minimal and reasonable conflicts.
    • Highly organized and significant ability to multi-task effectively.

    Factory Audit, Risk and Compliance Governance (ARCG) Executive

    Job Overview

    • As a Factory ARCG, your primary responsibility is to assess and ensure the compliance, efficiency, and quality standards of manufacturing processes within the company's factories. You will conduct thorough audits, evaluate adherence to industry regulations, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the overall enhancement of operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform comprehensive audits of manufacturing processes, facilities, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
    • Evaluate the quality control measures in place, including inspection procedures, testing protocols, and product specifications. Ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards.
    • Assess the efficiency of production processes, identifying bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to optimize workflow and increase productivity.
    • Verify compliance with local and international regulations related to safety, environmental standards, labor practices, and any other applicable laws governing commodity production.
    • Scrutinize documentation related to production, quality control, and safety procedures. Confirm that records are accurate, up-to-date, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Evaluate the quality and reliability of suppliers and raw materials. Ensure that the sourcing and procurement processes meet the company's quality standards.
    • Identify and assess potential risks associated with the manufacturing processes. Propose risk mitigation strategies and work with relevant teams to implement preventive measures.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Provide training sessions for factory personnel on quality standards, safety protocols, and compliance requirements. Foster a culture of awareness and accountability.
    • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, observations, and recommendations. Present reports to relevant stakeholders and assist in developing action plans for improvement.
    • Communicate effectively with factory managers, production teams, and other stakeholders to address concerns, answer queries, and provide guidance on compliance matters.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in the field such as Accounting, or a related discipline.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Certification in ICAN, CISA will be an added advantage.
