    Job Description

    • We are a growing British curriculum nursery and primary school in Ibadan committed to excellence in teaching, learning and pupil development.

    The Role

    • The Primary Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and creating a structured, engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes both academic excellence and personal development.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and academic standards.
    • Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupil progress through accurate marking, feedback and appropriate intervention.
    • Creating and maintaining a well-organised, stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and independence.
    • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement at all times.
    • Working collaboratively with colleagues and communicating effectively with parents to support pupil success.
    • Contributing positively to the wider life, culture and values of the school.

    The Ideal Candidate
    The successful candidate will have:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in  Education, Primary Education Studies or a related discipline.
    • A minimum of three years' post-NYSC teaching experience with primary-aged pupils, preferably within a British or international curriculum setting.
    • Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum, particularly in English, Mathematics and Science.
    • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to establish a purposeful, respectful and engaging learning environment.
    • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and confidence using digital tools to support teaching, learning and administration.
    • A sound understanding of assessment, pupil progress tracking and effective feedback practices.
    • A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a commitment to pupil welfare and protection.
    • A genuine passion for teaching, learning and holistic pupil development.
    • TRCN certification will be considered an added advantage.
    • Applicants must reside in Ibadan and be able to commute conveniently to Jericho.

    Primary Teaching Assistant

    Description

    • We are seeking committed Primary Teaching Assistants to support classroom teaching and contribute to a structured and supportive learning environment.
    • This is a September 2026 start position.

    Role Overview
    Primary Teaching Assistants support the class teacher in delivering effective learning by:

    • Assisting with lesson delivery as directed by the class teacher
    • Supporting pupils during classwork, activities and reinforcement tasks
    • Reinforcing learning objectives within structured lesson plans
    • Supporting classroom behaviour and organisation
    • Preparing learning materials and resources.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support lesson delivery in line with the school's curriculum and teaching standards.
    • Work closely with class teachers to reinforce learning and support pupils' academic progress across the curriculum.
    • Assist pupils during classwork, guided activities and intervention sessions.
    • Support classroom organisation, routines and behaviour management to maintain a purposeful learning environment.
    • Prepare teaching resources, learning materials and classroom displays.
    • Mark pupils' work in accordance with the school's marking and feedback policy, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
    • Support the preparation of pupil progress information and parent feedback for consultation meetings and other school reporting processes.
    • Contribute to a structured, engaging and well-organised classroom environment.
    • Engage actively in training, mentoring and professional development designed to support progression into a future classroom teaching role.

    The Ideal Candidate
    Successful candidates will have:

    • A B.Ed, B.A, B.Sc or HND in Primary Education or a related field.
    • A minimum of two-year post-NYSC classroom teaching experience with primary-aged pupils is required; candidates with additional teaching experience will be at an advantage.
    • Strong command of spoken and written English.
    • Good knowledge of English, Mathematics and Science at primary level.
    • Ability to support lesson delivery under the guidance of a senior colleague
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Clear, legible handwriting and ability to support cursive writing instruction.
    • Good understanding of classroom routines, behaviour expectations and pupil engagement.
    • Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities in an educational setting.
    • Applicants must reside in Ibadan and be able to commute conveniently to Jericho.
