    Plant Performance Analyst

    The Plant Performance Analyst will analyse plant performance to identify efficiency gaps, enhance reliability, and provide technical support that optimises operations and minimises energy losses.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitor daily plant operations and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for efficiency and reliability.
    • Collect, analyse, and interpret performance data from generating units and major equipment.
    • Identify performance gaps or abnormal trends and escalate findings for corrective action.
    • Assist in conducting performance tests and preparing technical reports for management review.
    • Support Performance engineers in troubleshooting plant performance issues and implementing improvement measures.
    • Help develop performance dashboards and data summaries to support decision-making.
    • Participate in energy and resource consumption analysis to promote cost and efficiency optimisation.
    • Maintain performance records and ensure accuracy of plant operation data.
    • Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure targets are achieved.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by learning and applying plant performance analysis tools and techniques.

    Data Privacy and Protection

    • Implement data protection policies and practices of Egbin Power Plc. 
    • Ensure compliance with the NDPR and other data protection laws, and data protection policies.
    • Undertake a Data Protection Impact Assessment as applicable to curb the risk during data processing operations.

    Education and  Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical, Production, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
    • COREN Certified will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Steam Power Plants operations, of which at least 2 years in an equivalent position.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Knowledge of operations of steam turbine power plant and its generation components; turbine, boiler, heat exchangers and process flow, etc.
    • Knowledge of calculating power plant indices.
    • Knowledge of key machine performance characteristics.
    • Competence to identify, measure and improve performance on key operating parameters of the operations of the power plant.
    • Ability to identify impending problems and take preventive measures.
    • Analytical ability for technical problem-solving.
    • Knowledge of power plant chemistry.
    • Knowledge of safety, environment, OHSAS and other statutory norms.
    • Ability to pay attention to details.
    • Good relationship management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

    Senior Financial Analyst

    The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to enhance financial decision-making.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Evaluate current and historical data to enhance decision-making.
    • Prepare monthly and annual Financial Statements
    • Prepare and submit all regulatory reports to NERC at defined deadlines.
    • Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
    • Coordinate and support internal and external audits
    • Maintain an effective internal control environment over ledger processes
    • Collaborate with other sections and departments, including business operations, Treasury, Budget, and Projects, to ensure accurate cost allocations and expense tracking
    • Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial data
    • Preparation of financial forecasts and monitoring business performance.
    • Provide support in the areas of performance monitoring, analytics and reporting with the company to drive operational efficiency.
    • Assist in ensuring effective strategies and measures are in place and detect potential revenue leakages/irregularities.
    • Develop and implement a creative performance template/tracker for the business.
    • Collate and interpret data, analysing results from varied sources, using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports, drawing inferences and presenting observations that will drive business decisions.
    • Develop business intelligence tools that will help drive business operations.
    • Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • Review business financial statements and analyse commodity prices, sales, costs, expenses, and tax rates to determine the company’s value by projecting the company’s future earnings. 
    • Meet with the company officials to gain better insight into the company’s prospects and management.
    • Perform expense trend analysis and monitor financial and operational risk exposure on an ongoing basis; proactively communicate potential risk to management.
    • Provide general support to business managers as required.
    • Complete other ad-hoc analysis and reporting, including utilising data from multiple sources.
    • Perform any other duties as may be communicated by line managers, management team or any other recognised stakeholders.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with any key internal and external stakeholders.
    • Implement data protection policies and practices of Egbin Power plc. 
    • Ensure compliance with the NDPR and other data protection laws and data protection policies.
    • Undertake a Data Protection Impact Assessment as applicable to curb the risk during data processing operations.
    • Ensure awareness, understanding of QHSE policy and application of departmental objectives.
    • Ensure awareness of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015,14001:2015 & 14001:2018) and implications of not conforming with the requirements.
    • Understand and identify hazards, risks and environmental aspects and their impact as it is relate to their jobs.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related disciplines.
    • Relevant Professional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA) is a must-have.
    • Minimum of Five (5) years relevant experience.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the power industry.
    • Good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Working knowledge of accounting packages and systems, including a standard ERP software (e.g. Chart of Accounts, Control Account, Accounting Modules, etc).
    • Ability to extract, manipulate and analyse large volumes of data and strong problem-solving skills.
    • High sense of accountability and dependability.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • High ethical standards and integrity.
    • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.

    Assistant Machinist

    The Assistant Machinist Technician will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of machines and machine tools, as well as any specialised tool used to perform precision machining.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Interpret sketches, designs, drawings, or instructions to create the required component(s).
    • Setting up and operating all the machines to produce precision parts.
    • Production of parts as assigned by the Senior Machinist.
    • Performs and documents quality checks during machining operations.
    • Interpret drawings and sketches for the production of required parts.
    • Taking all appropriate measurements and ensuring that the parts being produced meet the specifications.
    • Assists in monitoring and servicing plant equipment and systems, including boilers and turbines.
    • Performs maintenance on equipment systems and handles emergency repairs.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Minimum of Trade Test Certificate or its equivalent.
    • Minimum of ND/NABTEB or its equivalent in Engineering or related discipline.
    • Welding and Fabrication certification or its equivalent.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of machining work experience.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Good technical knowledge of tools and equipment required or needed to perform a job.
    • Knowledge of standard operating procedures for fabrication and repair.
    • Knowledge of safety requirements and environmental aspects.
    • Technical Troubleshooting to determine causes of error(s) on a machine.
    • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work.
    • Ability to set up and operate a variety of machines to produce precision parts.
    • Ability to fabricate and modify parts required for plant use.
    • Ability to control, watch gauges, dials and other indicators to make sure that a machine is working properly.

    Machinist

    The Machinist will operate and maintain machinery and machine tools, including specialised equipment used for precision machining tasks.

    • Knowledge of safety requirements and environmental aspects.
