    Operations Integrity Management System

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Provide guidance and advice, and upon request an assessment, relative to ExxonMobil’s implementation of OIMS in regards to geophysical vendor field operations

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks and responsibilities, Level 3:
    • Participate in external stakeholder assessments for best practices and lessons learned
    • Participate in OIMS workshops and Network meetings as needed
    • Systematically assess the extent to which the new project is progressing with OIMS implementation
    • Support and / or participate in investigations and follow-up of incidents. Provide root cause analysis expertise to support these efforts and review reports.
    • May be assigned other services by the JV SHE Team.
    • Develop / deliver technical presentations.

    JOB REQUIREMENT

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in the geophysical field in a SSH&E role, with OIMS implementation experience; ExxonMobil experience strongly preferred
    • Must be well versed in OIMS practices and processes for geophysical field operations
    • Must have excellent communication skills, possess high level of integrity, and willingness to build trust and accountability in inter-personal relationships
    • Demonstrated work experience in both onshore and offshore Exploration projects (including some prior oil & gas experience).
    • Broad technical knowledge and HSE skills with working knowledge of HSE Management System administration
    • Preferred working knowledge of safety management practices, processes, and expectations.
    • Thorough knowledge of safety standards, codes, and practices.
    • Ability and desire to function in an integrated project team environment. Ability to develop successful working relationships with emphasis on effective communications in an integrated team environment.
    • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
    • Must be proficient in current communication mediums and technologies (i.e., Microsoft Office, telecommunications, email, meetings)
    • Must be in good physical condition and shall comply with all project health and safety requirements (including any vendor vessel or country-specific certifications required to work offshore)
    • Must comply with requirements per the agreement
    • Certifications must be current and not due to expire for the anticipated duration of the project

    Principal Contract Manager

    PURPOSE & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Execute the complete contracting process including contract strategy and tactics for a variety of support type contracts but primarily contract management activities associated with the main EPC contracts.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in development and execution of contract strategies driving towards value maximization.
    • Collaborate with internal and external (contractor) stakeholders in protecting the interests of company and ensuring delivery of maximum value via each of the awarded contract/commercial deal.

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • The responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:
    • In accordance with Company policies and procedures prepare, review and issue RfQ/ITT and subsequently analyse bids and lead clarifications and
    • negotiations in collaboration with Tender Evaluation Team (TET) and assist Contract Owners/Holders to prepare, present and defend
    • award/variation submissions to Company Tender Committees to obtain approvals.

    JOB REQUIREMENT

    • Lead development of works and services demand forecast and planning and prepare contract plans.
    • Guide Contract Owners / Holders to articulate contract scope, specification, select contracting strategies, and prepare counter estimates taking
    • account of risk assessment, cost drivers, market analysis, and value optimization (including Nigerian Content) and applying lessons learnt from
    • previous projects/contracts.
    • Drive strong commercial influence in thinking and behavior of internal stakeholders and train stakeholders in contract development and management.
    • Assess contracting risk and develop mitigation responses.
    • Develop and issue contract documents incorporating general and specific terms and conditions as applicable, liaising with legal and functional
    • disciplines to resolve contractual qualifications.
    • Drive contract meetings and produce accurate minutes of proceedings and follow up necessary actions to ensure the contract process is satisfied in
    • line with Company policies and procedures and assist in the administration of Tender Committees.
    • Review, evaluate and produce recommendations for variations and claims, as well as contractual correspondence,including the structuring of cost
    • forecast, non-conformances, other disputes/conflicts, and facilitate contract close out.
    • Set up and maintain contract data in contract management systems tools, analyse data and prepare reports to support contract management as required.
    • Actively provide advice to Contract Holder on contractual issues to ensure Company and Contractor act in accordance with the Contract.

    Principal Claims Assessor

    PURPOSE & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    Provide an independent and professional evaluation of EPC contractor Variation Requests (incl. claims), preparation of responses to contractor and submissions to Tender Board and other senior review bodies.

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • The responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:
    • Develop and provide opinions on entitlement and assessment of claims.
    • Maintain an overview of all commercial matters (variations, claims, disputes).
    • Ensure disciplined project records are maintained in a manner that supports effective claims management.
    • Review / monitor correspondence, meeting minutes and progress reports for early claims signaling.
    • Provide ad-hoc advice to the Project Team and the C&P function with respect to any contractual, variation or claim related matters.
    • Verify quantity elements of contract VRs - measure and value the work done on-site.
    • Scrutinize cost estimates and prepare company estimates.
    • Coordinate variation clarification meetings between owners’ team and contractor.
    • Attend contract meetings and produce accurate minutes of proceedings and follow up necessary actions to ensure the contract process is satisfied in line with Company policies and procedures.
    • Provide claims and contract management awareness training.

    Dimensions:

    • Interface with multiple stakeholders, including Project Team, Contractors, Asset Team, and advisors as required.

    JOB REQUIREMENT

    Skills & Requirements:

    Education

    • MRICS preferred.
    • A University Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business or Financial management or other related discipline.
    • Membership of a professional body such as MIArb, MRICS, ACIPS or ISM is an advantage.

    Experience.

    • 10 years post graduate experience in a contract engineer, legal or QS role preferably in an Oil & Gas Engineering, Procurement and Construction
    • project environment, or industry involving projects, construction, maintenance, shutdowns and facilities management.
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrable experience of a variety of contract types and reimbursement mechanisms.
    • Demonstrable experience in defending against claims and variations and their management.
    • Excellent letter/report/analysis writing and computing skills.
    • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
    • Ability to work across international/cultural boundaries.
    • Strong team player with good communications and interpersonal skills

    Additional Information:

    • Fluent in English, written and verbally.
