    R&D Manager

    The R&D Manager will lead the research and development initiatives of the company by overseeing the design, testing, and implementation of new products and improvements to existing ones. This role plays a critical part in driving innovation, ensuring product quality, reducing cost, and maintaining competitiveness in the market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement R&D strategies in alignment with the company\'s goals.
    • Lead product innovation and improvement projects from concept to launch.
    • Supervise and support the R&D team in conducting research, product trials, and testing.
    • Analyze industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
    • Collaborate with production, quality, and marketing teams to ensure product feasibility and market relevance.
    • Ensure all new products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
    • Manage the R&D budget, timelines, and resource allocation efficiently.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all R&D processes and outcomes.
    • Liaise with external research bodies, suppliers, and technology partners where necessary.
    • Report R&D progress and outcomes to senior management regularly.

    Job Requirements:

    Education & Qualifications:

    • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Product Development, or related fields.
    • Additional certifications in Project Management or Innovation Management are an advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in product development or R&D within a manufacturing environment.
    • At least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong background in research, product design, and development processes.
    • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
    • Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into practical solutions.
    • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and R&D software.
    • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

    Technical Design Manager

    The Technical Design Manager is responsible for leading the design and development of products, machinery, or components based on technical specifications and manufacturing capabilities. This role involves managing a team of designers and engineers, overseeing CAD and technical drawing processes, and ensuring design accuracy, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design and development of new products or components in line with project requirements.
    • Supervise and guide a team of CAD designers, engineers, and draftspersons.
    • Review and approve technical drawings, 3D models, and design specifications.
    • Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
    • Ensure all designs meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
    • Improve design processes to reduce cost, enhance quality, and shorten development cycles.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to the company’s products.
    • Coordinate prototyping and testing of new designs.
    • Maintain and manage design documentation and version control systems.
    • Present design concepts and updates to senior management and stakeholders.

    Job Requirements:

    • Education & Qualifications:
    • B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or related fields.
    • Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, COREN, NSE) are an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 – 8 years experience in technical/product design, with at least 2 – 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong technical and creative design capabilities.
    • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software and understanding of manufacturing processes.
    • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities.
    • Understanding of engineering principles, materials, and production constraints.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to design quality.
