    Supermarket Supervisor

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Supermarket Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our furniture and stationery supermarket. The ideal candidate will supervise staff, manage inventory, maintain attractive showroom displays, and ensure excellent customer service. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for inventory tracking and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily store operations and staff.
    • Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and maintain accurate inventory records using Microsoft Excel.
    • Oversee showroom displays to ensure products are well-arranged, properly labeled, and visually appealing.
    • Ensure excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer concerns.
    • Prepare routine sales and inventory reports.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.

    Requirements

    • HND/Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in supermarket or retail supervision.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
    • Strong inventory management, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Experience with POS and inventory management systems is an added advantage.

    Assistant Manager – Accounts

    Reporting To: Accounts Manager
    Salary Range: ₦200,000 – ₦300,000

    Role Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager – Accounts to oversee financial operations at our plant in Ota. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reconciliations, supporting compliance processes, and assisting the Accounts Manager in day-to-day accounting activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Debtors & Creditors Reconciliation

    • Manage end-to-end reconciliation of customer (debtors) and vendor (creditors) accounts.
    • Follow up on outstanding receivables and resolve vendor payment discrepancies promptly.
    • Prepare aging reports for management review.

    Bank Reconciliation & General Accounting

    • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and the general ledger.
    • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets.
    • Support month-end closing activities and ensure books are finalized within set timelines.

    Compliance & Internal Controls

    • Ensure adherence to financial controls and accounting procedures at the factory level.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit exercises by providing required documentation and reports.

    Reporting & Business Partnering

    • Work closely with the plant team on invoice processing, transaction management, and cost monitoring.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for management review.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
    • Manufacturing industry experience is an added advantage.
    • ICAN membership or ongoing professional qualification is strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Accounting Software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
