Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct initial surveys, risk assessments and environmental impact assessments on potential sites to assess whether plans are workable.
• Select locations and plan underground or surface mining operations, specifying processes, labour usage, and equipment that will result in safe, economical, and environmentally sound extraction of minerals and ores.
• Examine maps, deposits, drilling locations, or mines to determine the location, size, accessibility, contents, value, and potential profitability of deposits.
• Select or develop mineral location, extraction, and production methods, based on factors such as safety, cost, and deposit characteristics.
• Predict the environmental effects and impacts of mining, including air pollution and destruction of the landscape and devise solutions such as methods of storing excavated soil and returning exhausted mine sites to natural states.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Survey or related discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years mining experience in operations, engineering and project evaluation

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise both personnel and equipment at different position as per instruction to achieve production target with consistent, set target to ensure operational efficiency, data accuracy and reporting timeliness.
• Manage mines operations shift teams to ensure effective and efficient execution of mining activities. Ensure that health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to and that a safe work environment is maintained.
• Involved in the design of both open-pit and underground mines.
• To ensure thatmines are operated safely and in the most environmentally effective ways possible.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mining Engineering
• Minimum of five (5) years relevantwork experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
Mooring Operations:

• Provision of pilotage services to visiting export tankers calling at MPN CALM and tandem moorings.
• Act as interface between visiting tankers and marine export terminal signing cargo/shipping documentation and ensuring compliance with terminal regulations and industry best practice at all stages of export operations.
• Pilot Product Carriers in/out of CBM Berth and coordinate safe mooring. Pilot small freighters/product carriers in and out of dock.
• Directing supporting vessels during mooring , hose connection and static towing operations.

Cargo Transfer Operations:

• Act as Terminal Representative on board to coordinate all transfer operations between import/export vessels and Terminal and complete the cargo documentation.
• Be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of cargo handling on board tankers and ensure that the vessel complies with safe operating practices, terminal regulations and complete operations in an incident free manner.
• Keep close watch on moorings and weather conditions to ensure that operations are stopped before onset of weather conditions and to ensure that vessel maintains a safe position in the Berths or is unberthed.
• Supervise Mooring Helpers to ensure proper watch keeping on the export tanker bow and manifolds, safe working practices and proper handling of Terminal equipment,
• Assist with laytime calculations.

Maintenance:

• Perform routine inspections to Berths as per the Maintenance Plan.
• SupportbSPM and hose maintenance activity.
• Inspect nominated vessels to assess compliance with Terminal regulations and provide The Mooring Operations Superintendent with all information necessary to issue the vessel clearance.

HSE:

• Maintain HSE standards and requirements in support of Operational Excellence in all aspects of the marine and mooring operations.

Managing Personnel:

• Assist the Senior Mooring Master/Supervisor with the familiarization process of new Mooring Masters and effectively coach them in berthing/unberthing and Cargo related activities at all Cabgoc operated berths.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / Master's Degree qualification with 7 - 18 years work experience.
