Perform high quality repairs and maintenance in IASL workshops.
Demonstrate understanding of IASL workshop’s repair and maintenance concepts, troubleshooting, repair methods and techniques, vehicle technical aspects, tools, and equipment.
Ability to use instruction manuals and documentation to conduct repairs and maintenance.
Perform periodic maintenance and on-time repairs through well-known and described working methods and standards.
Prepare trucks/ prepare component, completes visual inspections of trucks in the workshop after maintenance and manages deviations in trucks.
Secures spare parts needed for additional jobs and ensures all unused spare parts and tools are returned in good shape.
Ensure working area of technicians are safe, clean and exchange parts are properly secured for future use.
Secures minimized lead time of invoicing through a clear description of performed work and/or communicates what needs to be done if the work is handed over to a colleague.
Documents and clarifies performed maintenance and repairs of trucks in work order and on time.
Responsible for ending work order, completes handover and secure planning of next job in the Workshop.
Trains and coaches’ co-workers and apprentices, by transferring skills and knowledge.
Requirements / Qualification
Recognised Technical certifications in automotive services.
Minimum of 5 years'experience in vehicle repairs, maintenance, and engine overhaul.
Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and supervising the day to day activities of the workshop section; controlling the quality of repairs, preventive maintenance schedules and implementation of HSE standards from the workshop.
Responsible for workshop performance and accountable for job flow in the workshop, including job scheduling and coordination of resources, (operational and human) in a bid to achieve workshop objectives.
Responsible for taking the lead in strategizing workshop operations/projects and directing the activities of the workshop to ensure achievement of both long and short-term business objectives.
Delegates responsibilities and supervises the work of the workshop team by providing technical expertise to drive maximum workshop from time to time
Develops and nurtures a dynamic and competent workforce by embedding a robust performance-driven culture across the business.
Acts as a key player in the analysis, development, and implementation of workshop plans and policies, ensuring organizational growth and targeting maximum profitability for the workshop.
Provides strategic leadership in the pursuit of corporate objectives that are in line with workshop services mandates.
Requirements / Qualification
Minimum of a BSC/HND certification.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Workshop Controller/Engineer/Manager.
