    Manager, Acquiring Partnerships

    The Role: 

    • As the Acquiring Partnership Manager, you will responsible for establishing, developing and optimizing partnerships with Acquiring banks and/or other financial institutions.
    • The candidate must have a deep understanding of payments, especially card acquiring operations while ensuring that all activities are concluded in the designated market in line with best practices and regulatory standards. You will also be responsible for the development, approval and execution of card acquiring strategies for new and existing partners.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify Potential Card acquiring partners
    • Establish, build and maintain cross-functional relationships with the partner on every level from the operators to executive management
    • Negotiate and execute necessary agreements
    • Strategic planning, market analysis and execution
    • Ensure proper internal coordination of activities relating to card acquiring
    • Work with internal stakeholders to execute applicable projects
    • Ensure effective monitoring of partner performance (transactions, compliance and relationship)
    • Ensure timely resolution of issues & conflict, reducing escalations to the barest minimum
    • Proffer solutions for continuous improvement
    • Ensure personal information of customers, employees, and other individuals the company conducts business with is processed and protected in line with applicable data privacy policies, privacy laws, and global best practices.

    Requirements:

    • 7+ years of experience
    • Bachelor's degree in related discipline, MBA preferred
    • Experience working in a compliance/internal audit function in a Nigerian bank
    • Experience working in card operations in a Nigerian bank
    • Expertise in payments, financial services and/or local payment methods
    • Exceptional people management skills
    • Excellent relationship management skills
    • Must be prepared to work on-site at client locations as needed
    • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the organization
    • Ability to perform under pressure.
    • Autonomy, creativity, ability to do complex analysis
    • Experience of working in an agile environment, where you have responded quickly to changing business needs
    • Commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive culture
    • Fluent in English

    Global Operations Strategy Specialist

    Role:

    • The Global Operations Strategy Specialist will support the development, implementation and monitoring of operational strategy across Flutterwave’s African operations. Build strong local networks within the banking industry and the regulatory environment to facilitate proactive and agile strategies.

    Your Core Responsibilities Will Be

    • Develop operational strategies across Flutterwave’s main markets in Africa (Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa and Uganda) taking into consideration both regulatory and industry standards (both local and international standards)
    • Develop strong and durable relationships with the banking industries and regulators across Africa
    • Implement a country specific operational strategy, reviewing all the merchants flows in accordance with Flutterwave’s business model; with strong focus on results, as well as strong alignment with the overall company’s strategy
    • Develop and maintain relationships with various acquiring partners, ensure effective communications and prompt resolutions of any issues that may arise
    • Constantly and proactively seek regulatory and industry updates, and develop action plans to minimize any potential negative impact as well as take advantage of any opportunities these might represent
    • Manage the developing network of acquiring partners across Africa, including the implementation of funds flows to ensure prompt merchants settlements
    • Develop robust documentation such as policies and SOP documents for the team
    • Ensure personal information of customers, employees, and other individuals the company conducts business with is processed and protected in line with applicable data privacy policies, privacy laws, and global best practices
    • Support with additional tasks as required

    Required Competency And Skillset To Be a Waver

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy and operations
    • Strong understanding of the Fintech industry and the regulatory environment in Africa
    • Strong relationship management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • High sense of ownership, accountability, integrity and ethical standards
    • Ability to travel
    • Ability to work independently to fulfill assigned tasks
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet stringent deadlines.
    • Excellent Financial analytical, strategic planning and execution skills
    • Excellent leadership skills
