    Laundry Attendant

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Picking up and delivery of in-house guest laundry.
    • Operate and monitor washing and drying laundry machines, including adding chemicals, cleaning lint traps.
    • Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
    • Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts.
    • Fold cleaned articles into designated size, either by hand or using folding machine.
    • Maintain accurate records of items laundered.
    • Count and verify all items collected as per laundry price lists / laundry sheet signed by the guest and note down any discrepancy or damages on the same sheet.
    • Check all items for damage or stains and take appropriate action to rectify these issues.
    • Report immediately to the Supervisor any valuable items like cash, jewelry, credit cards etc. found in guests cloth pockets.
    • Process the guests clothing on the correct equipment / machines using the appropriate chemicals and temperature.
    • Sort employee uniforms for appropriate action like washing, dry cleaning, pressing or send for repairing to the hotel's tailor.
    • Report any technical problems, damages or deficiencies to the Supervisor

    Requirements
    Education:

    • WASC / SSCE / NECO or Equivalent preferred.

    Experience:

    • 1 to 2 years of experience in a hotel Laundry Unit
    • Experience working with Laundry Machines (Washers & Dryers).

    Skills:

    • Ability to operate Laundry machines and apply appropriate cleaning chemicals.
    • Eye for detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure.

    Cook

    Job Description

    • A Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients at an establishment that serves food, processing customer orders, producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines.
    • Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with wait staff and prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
    • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
    • Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
    • Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
    • Occasionally serve food
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
    • Handle and store ingredients and food
    • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND.
    • 1 or more years’ experience working within the food industry as a Cook, Chef or related role.
    • Working knowledge of local dishes and continental dishes recipe.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
    • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment

    Kitchen Assistant

    Responsibilities

    • Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
    • Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
    • Assisting the Cook with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
    • Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.
    • Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
    • Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
    • Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Cook's instructions.
    • Stirring and heating soups and sauces as well as preparing hot beverages.

    Requirements

    • OND qualification
    • Proven experience assisting in kitchens.
    • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
    • The ability to stand for extended periods.
    • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Waiter / Waitress

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and escort customers to their tables
    • Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
    • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
    • Inform customers about the day’s specials
    • Offer menu recommendations upon request
    • Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software or order slips
    • Ensure that customer has meet the minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
    • Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
    • Serve food and drink orders
    • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, and report any problems.
    • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
    • Collect bill payments
    • Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
    • Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations
    • Follow all relevant health department regulations
    • Provide excellent customer service to guests.

    Requirements and Skills

    • Possess an SSCE / OND qualification
    • Applicant must be good looking and willing to maintain maximum hygiene
    • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years waiter/waitress experience.
    • Applicant must be very conversant with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS)
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Active listening and effective communication skills
    • Team spirit Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages
    • Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons
    • Flexibility to work in shifts.
