    Network Engineer (Enterprise Solution)

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill a creative technical position as we hope to maintain our status as the leading broadband connectivity services provider in Nigeria.

    Responsibilities

    • Enterprise Business solution scoping, design and sales.
    • Manage relationships with key stakeholders to promote thecompany’s interests and position it as a partner of choice.
    • Develop and deliver new business opportunities among assigned Enterprise segments.
    • Acquisition of new enterprise accounts.
    • Expand business with existing enterprise accounts.

    Network Design and Implementation:

    • Design, configure, and deploy ISP network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
    • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
    • Ensure network designs are scalable and support current and future service demands.
    • Work with vendors and service providers to integrate new technologies and systems.
    • Conduct root cause analysis of network issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
    • Troubleshoot network problems related to connectivity, latency, routing, switching, and traffic management.
    • Ensure all network incidents are handled within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

    Collaboration and Support:

    • Collaborate with the NOC team to ensure continuous network monitoring and early detection of issues.
    • Work closely with customer service teams to resolve customer-related network issues.
    • Provide technical support to other departments while deploying new services or systems.
    • Assisted junior engineers and support staff with network-related training.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
    • Create and maintain network diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Provide regular reports on network performance, uptime, and capacity to management.

    Research and Development:

    • Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
    • Evaluate new networking solutions, tools, and equipment to improve network performance and reliability.
    • Participate in proof-of-concept testing for new networking products and services.

    Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

    • Must have the drive and capability to meet and exceed challengingtargets.
    • Strong relationship and team building skills; experience in dealing with corporate, and government representatives and other senior individuals and stakeholder groups.

    Requirements

    • The job holder must have a Bachelor’s Degree 2nd Class Honors (Upper division) in Computer science discipline or any other Networking related field.
    • A minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience on a similar job function. Telecoms experience will be an added advantage.

    Technical Support Engineer (ISP)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage incidents, respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone & email
    • Ensure installation, maintenance and troubleshooting are carried out within agreed SLA.
    • Responsible for resolving concerns on signal strength, signal to noise ratio and similar parameters in accordance with the company’s approved standard.
    • Inform supervisors of recurring problems
    • Carry out periodic preventive and corrective maintenance on eNodeBs, transmission links, routers and switches on the networks
    • Carry out the alignment of microwave radios on the network
    • Respond swiftly to alarms within acceptable SLA and rectification of faults on sites at various levels.
    • Configuration and resolution of all eNodeB/Transmission external alarms like VSWR, LOS, LOF, link degradation, cell unavailable, etc.
    • Monitoring, inspection and acceptance of new sites and ensuring 100% compliance with the company’s specification
    • Maintain comprehensive records of all transmission links, power equipment, BTS and spare parts on-site
    • Monitors and coordinates all active and passive activities on eNodeB sites.
    • Analyze the root cause of outages with the aim of driving improved availability on the network.
    • Plan and implement both active and passive upgrades on the network to meet the customer’s needs.
    • Inspects and supervises vendor’s completed jobs to the company’s specification
    • Collation and submission of periodic/job completion reports as when due
    • Ensuring compliance with the customer’s SLA and KPI always.
    • Ability to configure routers (Cisco/Huawei) and switches
    • Responsible for supporting post-sales customer activity remotely and on-site
    • Responsible for carrying out detailed Site Surveys & maintaining proper documentation
    • Promptly investigate, resolve & report any incidents, errors, events or deviations.

    Qualifications

    • BEng / BSc / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, Physics / Electronics or any other relevant fields with a grade of at least 2.1
    • 4 - 5 years relevant work experience.

    Essential Attributes:

    • Proficient in WiFi, WiMAX, eNodeB, TCP/IP, WLAN, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, Device/Network level Troubleshooting, Computers (OS & Application Level), Analytical, Internet and Tech savvy, Customer Focused and Team Player

    Desired Attributes:

    • Relevant industry experience in handling telecommunication equipment.
